What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened:
This is simply what you were trying to do and what happened instead. Example:
‘I was trying to start an Arena battle, but Gems of War loaded Broken Spire quest instead!’
Tried to change teams in pvp and get this blank.
How often does this happen? When did it begin happening?
Was this a once-off bug or has it been a consistent issue? Does it only happen after doing a particular game mode?
Started about 15 minutes ago. Have reloaded the game 3 times but it persists.

Steps to make it happen again
Sometimes there are certain steps that can lead to a problem that may not be obvious!
Example: I lose once in the Arena.
I then exit to the world map.
I then tap on Broken Spire on the map and then tap Arena.
Broken Spire’s quest loads instead of the Arena

Try to change teams in pvp.

try selecting and dragging the list and it should reappear. You may have to move or try this a few times.

iOS 12.1.2 on iPhone 8S+ and iPadAir.

Same thing happened to me on Windows 10.

what screen resolution do you have set for Gems of War?

To check your screen resolution:
Open Gems of War
When the “preparing to launch” pop-up appears, hold down the Shift button on your keyboard
In the GemsofWar Configuration menu, note down the screen resolution
You can close this menu or select Play to continue
Note: If the following window does not appear, close Gems of War and re-open it. This time hold down ‘Shift’ before the “Preparing to launch…” box appears.

It’s a 720x1280 window and was corrected by using the click and drag method to reveal my other teams (like on mobile).
