Weekly Event: Call to Valor

I agree but variety is nice also. I find tuffer teams I don’t see often to be a nice change, and think that’s what a lot of people problem with gobs is

That does put you in the minority, I think… this nerf isn’t game-changing but will hopefully calm them down a bit… I suspect we will still see a lot of gobbo teams on defence, but this is a step in the right direction for wider balancing… just need to buff some elves and dwarves to help get some more meta teams out there…

Thankfully I’m no @tacet either :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve lately runned into tons of Maw/Mercy teams. I think that will be the new standard, after goblins got nerfed. But I think there still will be some goblin teams around for lower level players.

Weird. I haven’t seen a single Maw/Mercy team yet. That might explain our differing opinions.

Not opinions, but who we fight against in PvP.

In which case it’s a location-based preference. I skip very few opponents (edit: among those players worth at least 500 gold – I don’t waste time on small fries [sorry @Zelarith]) , so I’m surprised nobody I get matched against is using the Maw/Mercy pair. I guess you live in a different part of the world than I do, and your typical PVP opponents run different teams.

Yeah, probably.

What? How much gold am I worth?
(My defense is made of one low level troop)

A play on your custom title rather than your value (one that fell rather flat, it seems). I don’t think you’ve ever come up as a potential opponent.

If you’re only fielding one low-level troop, I will make sure to start paying attention for your name. Regardless of how much you’re worth that’s a good time investment.

Oh, my bad, I forgot that custom title ^^’

Stop. You don’t see @Lyya going after your worms.

What makes goblins boring is, in my opinion, their extra turns. If you face other teams AI can get lucky drops and 10 extra turns, sure, but with goblins it takes much less luck. And many extra turns for the opp means watching a boring movie, even if it happens not to be really dangerous.

Yep, I see that we have the same taste with developers for color graph
Dark background, this is less aggressive for the eyes

It’s not that Goblins are boring (although their extra turns are a bit annoying). It is the fact that every 3rd match for me is against goblins that is boring. I’d like to see more variation in what troops I face.

I like facing goblin defense teams. That’s the fastest win I get with my fully traited chompers

How’s this for a Weekly Troop Event idea: Whenever Valor destroys a Daemon (either skull match or his spell but it has to be him specifically) earn double souls for that kill. Or something to that effect!

Double souls with that condition? So instead of 1 soul from a kill I’ll get 2 :open_mouth:
And who exactly will try to make a team around that? Since the troops name is valour it should be gems it gives of course. Maybe a gem after each match you win with her in team

It’s a man

Yeah, the lack of large bewbs / cleavage makes it kind of obvious. :smirk:

Disappointed with the Goblin change, but I don’t think it will really affect the purpose for why it was done. Since it was done for defense reasons (NOT offense), I bet most players are not going to change their defense teams simply because if they were reading the forums, they would already know what you guys are complaining about. It’s the same reason why players have a Valkerie soul-gainer team on defense - they don’t know they aren’t gaining the extra souls and they’re not wondering or asking about it.

People will obviously notice the difference on offense and might come here to ask about it, but there’s no proven (as yet) correlation that they use goblin teams on defense (I don’t).
