I’m sure they will fix it since it benefits us, but what about broken achievements like kingdom crusher? This game is 99% money, 1% fun after all -_-’

Me and others have claimed them and used them to max everything. If they start banning players for it, we’ve all said we’ll leave the game, no coming back.
They’ve pushed out so many horrible bugs that ruin players experience, and refused to fix them, like the immortals getting teams deleted in PvP (goodness knows they’ve had plenty of time to fix it but they won’t), so this one can go unfixed too, if it is a bug (probably is). If they start attacking players for it, they’re just showing themselves up.
Let us have this one, as an apology for all the issues you won’t fix, seriously.

Since this appears to have been rapidly fixed…just to be clear, a week before GW many players were able to receive 13k+ Shiny keys to strengthen their teams and have an advantage over everone that did not receive these keys.
So dev error = selective player advantages

Hope all your progress gets rolled back and your keys get taken away. Because that’s what should happen to all of you who always pull the ladder up behind you.
If they’d ever notice it without someone snitching, fine, but it’s always someone telling them, and usually after they got theirs.

This is obviously not quite the same, but let’s not forget about the how they handled the bug where the new Guild Guardians could be pulled from Gold Chests.
On one hand, it can be seen as lenient and generous (because it was too hard to fix). On the other, honest players who didn’t abuse the bug missed out on essentially free resources (saving guild seals). I remember leaving that fiasco with the lesson that there are no consequences for abusing bugs like these. No one made a statement saying that what people did was wrong 
.
EDIT: I was reminded of another exploit where they did ban players who abused the exploit hard. I stand corrected. Even back then, the devs did take action at times.

Super awesome, I saw the keys and spent my time to get them; a few kills away and game crashing forces me to reboot and “surprise” now they are gone. Well I will never spend any resources to ever get shiny keys again in fact pretty sure I won’t be spending money ever again on the game. Glad u fixed the issue guys. 
After ten years of playing think im gonna find another way to spend my time.

I’m honestly shocked that something like this could happen. The progress that some have now claimed for nothing but game time is something the rest of us won’t be able to catch up with in years, or at most, only with a lot of money. For me, it’s a no-go if there are no consequences. I’m not talking about a game ban or anything like that, but rather a reroll of the upgraded units and existing keys. Anything else would be a farce and a slap in the face to those who weren’t as lucky or had as much time.

I think its about time they retire Shiny Keys as a money making scheme and let people actually obtain Shiny Keys at a reasonable rate to experience it. It was never good for money making in the first place with how poorly supported it was.

While it’s certainly unfair if nothing will be done, I don’t think there is an easy way to roll back just shiny keys / shiny tokens, either. Rolling back all is more technically feasible, but that will be another huge blow to players’ confidence.
BTW, mana cost of new weapon hasn’t been fixed yet.

The problem was (and still is) that there’s no reasonable amount of keys to be obtained to even make a dent into your collection.
There were (I think) 31 troops to boot plus one every week except doom weeks and you can’t get enough even with spending actual money to ever catch up.

I have seen quite a few players reporting that they got the keys, used ~3k worth and now have all Shiny troops maxed and are still holding around 10K which means maxed new shiny troop every week for a loooong time.
Maybe they just need to gift 5k or 10k keys to all players to make it reasonably fair and call it a day.
One more note - why did you replace the incorrect Shiny Key error with a pet copy that is already maxed and at Mythic level from the Spring Holiday event ? You couldnt issue the correct amount of Shiny keys that was intended ??

I logged in to game saw folks were able to take advantage of the free gift and it had already been fixed so the rest of us were shit out of luck. Quickly logged off game. Tired of this nonsense where some folks benefit from every little mistake while everyone else gets zip. Same happened when GAP started. people get gift then run to forums to make damn sure its fixed so competition does not get it. Funny how it is fixed in minutes while we suffer for weeks in explore because we cannot skip the bs we used to be able to skip. So lots got the keys and maxed their troops which is bs. I guess the next time you want us to spend on this game ask the ones that got the free keys because my money is staying in my pocket from now on. Tired of the unfairness here.

I could have collected the keys, but instead I waited for them to fix it. I don’t really care too much about shiny troops. The only ones worth upgrading to shiny 2 are the journey troops. Eventually that will change once they include more legendaries and mythics. MOst of the players I spoke to are n’t planning to use them and are waiting for the devs to take them away. And if the devs start banning players again, then it works in my favor, as there won’t be as many pvp players challenging me, giving me all those gold marks to max my kingdoms.

Hey everyone!
Just popping in quick to post about to the Shiny Key reward issue that appeared while our support superhuman Jeto is still out recovering.
The Shiny Key reward that was appearing is a bug as the reward for the Special Weekly Event on the Dallies/Advenutre Board screen was meant to be copy of Azaleus’ Bumblebee.
The team has pushed a fix out so the correct reward is now showing for players who haven’t collected the reward yet.
A fix is currently being worked on to remove any excess Shiny Keys from Players accounts who have collected the Shiny Key rewards before the first fix when out, this will also revert and remove any Shiny Tokens and Shiny Dust gained from using those excess keys. At the same time this fix will replace those keys with the correct reward which is a copy of Azaleus’ Bumblebee.
