Remember how i said our votes do not matter, this is what i mean. Hillary won more votes from america, however trump still won. Maybe we should unrig our system?
She only had 200,000 more votes. Not that big of a difference considering blue states have a bigger combined population than most red states. Democrats didnât really get out and vote this time, which wouldâve sealed the deal. But I agree the electoral college is cheeks.

if it were not for the electoral colleges she would have won based on votes instead of a system that forces candidates to unfairly target states. This red vs blue stuff needs to end, the era of 2 party system needs to end.

I agree that getting upset about it after the fact is pretty lame but it still needs to be fixed regardless of if your candidate did or did not win this time. It shouldnât be made retroactive or anything silly like that but the problem is the electoral system always favors whomever just won so of course that party isnât going to want to change it.

Thatâs pretty silly; weâve changed and amended countless things since our founding fathers created the constitution. Thats exactly what they wanted; they knew what worked in their time might not always work; thatâs why itâs called a living document.

If you follow how the voters voted⌠City or largely populated areaâs are typically democrat, so removing the electoral college would not work as you might think.
If we really wanted to make a âvotingâ change based on Popular Vote, then we must have Voter ID Cards, we must verify we are all legal to vote.
I also feel that if you pay ZERO Income taxes, you should be unable to vote. This would have made people like Trump unable to vote for themselves, or anyone who pays no taxes. Lets face it, this is very controversial, however if your not paying into the system⌠why should you get to decide how its run?

In addition to what @HKdirewolf responded with, it should also be noted that voter fraud (at least the kind âVoter IDsâ are supposed to combat) is practically non-existant and the push for these Voter-ID laws are simply a form of voter suppression and a complete waste of tax money.
