If it makes you feel any better, this isn’t actually as unlikely an outcome as a lot of people probably think it is. The odds of pulling one specific dragon four times in five pulls is roughly 1-in-300 if I’m doing my math correctly; with six distinct dragons, the odds that somebody pulls any dragon (not just Amethialas) with that frequency in that few attempts is roughly 2%.
It’s not likely, but it’s not so obscenely unlikely that we shouldn’t ever see it. Between what we all read in these spaces and what we hear from our guildmates who don’t post here, most of us should probably have direct knowledge of somebody falling into that misfortune once enough people have cashed in a sufficient number of Gem Dragon Eggs.
Except, I didn’t. I did the crazy thing one must do to play GoW effectively: started a spreadsheet (which also made me angry btw), tracking doors like a maniac. It soon became evident 4, 5 and 6 had better odds, though different across the two accounts, so I adjusted my strategy accordingly. I’ve been following the threads, using the tool, but still, one account is consistently “unlucky”, hitting the 1 in 3 outcome far more often than not. Maybe in the long run, it will even out. But for now, sure doesn’t seem fair.
Same luck on descending stairs too, level 11 on one account, level 3 on the other? BS
And yeah, as previous post says, I wouldn’t advertise 75% rate for it, people will be disappointed. But statistically, “better than 10%” could be achieved lol
Also the kind of comment that could make a dev perk up their ears and get more concerned about something than is actually warranted… (for reference I hadn’t been on forums for a week or two and hadn’t seen it)
