Agreed lets do away with all these events with crazy high requirements, al of them, not just world event
Well, didn’t see that decision coming.
@Kafka Someone in your dev team can’t just admit they did math wrong.
We have had Journey, Raid and Invasion now with new reward stages with all that shiny FOMO and even those events do NOT ask as much of an average gem sink from a single user as this stupid World Event does even though for example Journey has undeniably better overall rewards.
This is silly.
I suspect, development is not typing responses to the board moderation manually anymore, but has switched to a randomised copy and paste bot to save effort.
- “Working as intended”
- “Hardcoded, can’t be changed”
- “Pretend that it will get fixed in an upcoming update”
Convenient how this increase happened just after a vault event.
That was tier 2 to tier 3 from everyone.
Tier 3 to tier 4 would be acceptable. Tier 5 is already a stretch. Tier 6 is asking way too much of players.
It’s not just the costs which are insane for what is offered - not even 5 guaranteed tokens for the featured shiny troop like the other events have.
It’s also the time it takes to play these events.
This is not our job. It’s a game.
This has gotten out of hand.
The unwillingness of your company to acknowledge that is mind boggling.
You are going to “fix” this by providing a point multiplier offer for cash, aren’t you?
This is either a lie or an extremely specific limitation.
There are 15 troops, that can cause an effect on a random enemy when matching colour gems:
- Alderfeather
- Basilisk
- Fallen Valdis
- Leonis Tower
- Obregonia
- Sheggra
- Suna
- The Foxfire King
- The Wendigo
- Tinseltail
- Ullor
- Vash’Dagon
- Vernalis
- Yasmine’s Chosen
- Zilopochtli
And after your arguments, why the increased gem requirements for the event are a good thing and absolutely totally intentional, I am more or less convinced, you are making things up today.
They already “fixed” it by providing a Headstart offer for cash. Don’t want to buy those extra shop tiers that conveniently became mandatory as part of the Headstart offer for World Events going live? No problem, just open your wallet, nudge, nudge.
Kafka: While you’re in the mood to paint things in a positive light, could you please explain, why the new standard trait symbols on troops are better than the old individual ones? This aspect might have gotten lost among all the other “improvements” of the version 7 update.
Awesome. Although, I have a feeling this is something that gets brought up a lot and nothing happens. At least it’s still being brought up. Since putting the scoring into the game is actually a complex issue, may I suggest simplifying the scoring, instead?
When WEs came out, they were a weekly event and having all of these oddball/annoying scoring scenarios was obviously an attempt to inject some variety. Now that the other events have returned to the rotation, we don’t really need that “variety” with WE scoring. (Not that we ever really did.) So my suggestion would be to pick one of the templates (preferably an obvious one) and just use that for all WEs.
‘Should be?’ Did you (not literally you, personally) test it?
Fair enough. Try to remember that World Events have always been a bit of a boring slog. Not journey level boring, but depending on the restrictions, it can get ‘time sucky’, in a hurry. It’s one thing to be willing to toss a bunch more gems at an event for rewards of arguable value. It’s another thing to be willing to commit the time on something tedious.
This. This is a huge problem right now.
Maybe a repeatable bonus reward stage, like with Kingdom Pass or Legendary Tasks, would be more psychologically coherent for players than Stage 13-16 (at least for World Events).
Does Stage 12 still offer the same rewards as before, given it should take roughly the same effort?
- I guess the same rewards might not be worth as much anymore, though, with new goalposts and better rewards having been added
Whoever gave you that answer needs to come here and justify why throwing something like that into the game without telling anybody is acceptable. It’s going to strain pretty much every guild in the game that’s already having a hard time putting butts in the seats because of your previous mistakes and numerous shameless monetization stranglehold attempts on the playerbase. Now guildmasters who are already under a ton of strain have to put in even more of their gems in to make up for this so they can continue to say that they complete all tasks and rewards when recruiting, which is a selling point when getting people into most guilds in the first place.
This is basically full on admitting what everyone’s been saying for the last couple of years, that you and the company you represent don’t care about anything except creating gem sinks in order to make people purchase more gems with money.
This needs to be remedied immediately.
Imagine we screwed up this much at our jobs…its every single week now for awhile. The new dragons third trait and the world event scoring this week. Wonder what it will be next week. Someone should start a thread and just keep track of every time they screw up. You would have a new one every week at least and probably 2-3 or more.
This is one of the ‘easier’ World event template scoring mechanisms, due to Dragon battles giving more points every battle and occurring quite frequently.
If they are still using all of the other templates, it could cost a lot more to get rewards in future World events
I have a better idea: no more World Events EVER AGAIN.
And I consider that answer to be… Ridiculous…
On the same page as everything is working as intended.
See if the devs wanted to “give” Guilds the opportunity to “do more” you would have said it upfront. Devs like to give the impression of helping or giving about several things that no player have asked for… Ever…
So having to ask for an explanation tells me someone just did a copy/paste without checking- I mean this wouldn’t be the first time.
Topic successfully avoided after posting some fabricated “working as intended” story.
Off into the weekend sunset that offers a well deserved break from all the hard work during the week (f.e. moving “xp” to messages!!!1).
Understandable.
Just to ensure, that I am not getting this wrong, would you agree with the following chain of events?
-
- Multiple guild events receive a way to double the score
-
- The tier requirements are doubled to encourage using the score multiplier (and do more shop purchases)
-
- Somebody forgot, that the World Event has no multiplier and increased the requirements to an equal degree
-
- They hastily lower the score during the first World event under new conditions after noticing their mistake
-
- They return to the increased numbers in the second time, the event comes around.
-
- Either development or Kafka pretend, that things were always meant to be like this.
Harder to get points, and 16 tiers of rewards.AND NO TOKENS FOR THE WEEKLY TROOP.
@Sinnycool (mention just to make sure the reply button works) That used to exist, but it got closed
