Stellarix is stupidly overpowered. Change the 3x back to 2.1

That was yesterday divines. Havent played today cause job. That was against takshaka. No stellarix. I much prefer stellarix. The 130-16 was ONE DAY. I had around 60-70 losses for the week and 400 wins. I dont have as much time to play this week

Do you see me wanting a nerf for takshaka? And as i said. Im done with you. You arent worth talking to anymore. Have a nice life

Speaking of which. Is there a block feature on this board? I cant find it

Well not 400. But that was last week only 16 losses on yellow day most of which were to NON STELLARIX teams. I lost more often to the zuul 2.0 takshaka combo.

I have an honest question. Seriously. Do you play all the other modes like explore 12, higher level delves and the end of events?

I’m asking because I see so many people whining (sorry it really is whining at this point) about one mode, with zero talking about the entire rest of the game. I am someone who screams at her screen when one too many of my pvp battles goes south in a row. But I’m also someone who would rather play in traffic than do the REST of GOW without the tools that people seem to want nerfed just for pvp. THINK IT THROUGH what you are asking for!!!

When you get all your nerfs, please do not ask for sympathy when you can’t finish events in your guild etc. Because… meh.

In the meantime, please explain to me how wand of stars, stella, the other dragon, or elementalist class hurts your enjoyment of the game in all of the non pvp modes. If these things do not harm your enjoyment of the rest of the game (AKA the MOST of the game), think about what you are asking for.

Not even one mode! Blood frenzy. One part of one mode aimed at endgame players.

I dont even use stellarix in pvp because its too easy to get locked down by a freeze on it, and their blood frenzy trumps your damage.

But in other modes? Stellarix is FUN

I have been testing this as well.

Method:
Wand of stars, any team (ideally costly troops). Any class except for Elementalist.

  • Make combos until wand is full
  • Use the wand
  • Count number of times in a row I use the wand before the opponent takes a turn
  • Use each other team member once to empty them out
  • Repeat if the enemy is still standing.

My rate for extra turn seems to be (with my bad luck) about 60-90%. The higher up in the lineup the wand is, the more chance you have of taking more turns in a row as the wand will fill faster. With the Wand up front I was getting an average of at least 10 extra turns each round with at least 30 mana per cast. Granted, I varied the star I used depending on what was on the board, but it still broke down to about that.

I wasn’t even using Elementalist as I didn’t want freezing to give me extra turns I didn’t earn! It also allows the enemy to reset the board so I don’t get free turns from lingering stars.

If I was using Elementalist? Woo, boy… yeah, too strong. (edit: to clarify, too strong for fairly balanced PvP. PvE is another beast entirely.) You really should not get a stun+freeze every single time you match 4+. It’s too easy to freeze an entire team and stun the guy who can defrost everyone (ex: Beetrix). Snap freeze at level 1? Ok. Fair for a head start. But Freeze + stun is not Ok on a 4+ match.

The wand needs to use only 2-3 colors, IMHO. All 6 plus explosions everywhere makes it far too easy to fill the wand.

Not them, but are you using Elementalist and/or Wand of Stars to win?

If you have to use Elementalist and/or Wand of Stars to consistently beat Elementalist / Wand of Stars, then that shows where the power dynamic is.

If you aren’t using the combo, you just made your team to fight it: when you have to base your entire team strategy around beating Elementalist / Wand of Stars because the combo is just so common you don’t see much else, that also shows how clearly recognizable that combo is as to being over-powered.

What s lovely stats, overall.

Still waiting for the confirmation - you guys whining ‘don’t nerf it’ really have had no game whatsoever before Stella appeared? No fun at e12? You just sat there waiting for some imba to come so you would spent 10 seconds less per e12?

Or there are actually 1500 other cards which pale in compare to just one and you can’t accept the fact it shouldn’t stay this way (said by any game designer )?

So far the only guy who claimed Stella being OK ran away from the dialog with his fluked one day stats as the only proof of it being balanced. Smh.

Elementalist is a brown elemental troop from Nexus. Maybe the hero should have to fit in to PvP restrictions as well.

Why only one? For me also Stellarix is absolutely fine. Great troop, same level as Wand or Elementalist.

Zuul is also a great troop. As well as Phoenix and thrall and many others. Mind finding out what makes Stella step above all of them, shortly?

Why step above? Stellarix like Zuul, deadly. Same tier.

I’ve seem just once zuul looping to destroy whole team. Can’t count how often it happens with stella. So the power difference quite big based on gameplay experience.

It is a matter of gameplay: Stellarix loops, Zuul just kills the looper. Same as Cthrassque. Or Stringfiddler, even better, just silence the looper.

Mind counting resources needed to fill any of those, then count what it requires to fill Stella. Short answer - dragon will be charged first unless your board heavily on your side.

Stellarix can kill an entire team as soon as it gets to attack due to looping. Zuul kills an entire team in 4 attacks. Stringfiddler’s silence takes 2-6 turns to build up (without Wand of Stars). Full team silence in one turn is also overpowered, but it’s the wand powering it not the troop. Requiring full team silence on a single turn to prevent instant loss is a sign things are out of hand.

The wand is the biggest culprit along with elementalist. Without the wand and stun-freeze from Elementalist there’s a lot less of a problem here. Can anyone think of a different weapon-class combo that allows the same effect as Elementalist/Wand of Stars?

Yes indeed, Elementalist & Wand is a great combination! And on top - Stellarix. The Holy Trinity, nonetheless. I strongly would recommend to use it for every single player (PvP focused, mainly)!!!

Don’t nerf anything. I’ve had a similar discussion on another game with one of the mechanics there. People that didn’t master it claimed, it would ruin the game. But actually it kept it alive. A nerf would have killed it, since all the top players learned how to use everything the game had to offer and how to counter it. That’s why I’m against nerfs in general.

By the way. I barely play PvP this week, but I’m at 201 wins and 1 loss currently against Stella, Wand, Takshaka or Zuul/Ctharrasque teams. So it’s no big deal other than being boring to go against the same teams over and over again …

Oh, claiming people can’t learn to play as an argument. What a nice day.
I’m top10 pvp weekly since rework, until the very last 3 weeks when I have no time to bother. I know everything about teambuilding and how to get around nasty teams. I use Stella everywhere I can. And it’s clear for me this troop is imbalanced and must be reworked in order the game to have any kind of sense.

I forgot to mention that I don’t have Stellarix yet myself. If that makes any difference. But I’m hoping to get her this year.
