Awaiting the details on the Divinion Field troops having changes made before Guild Wars this week.

Edit: I know two are mentioned above, but also there were some others that were being considered so just want to double confirm they aren’t also still being changed but weren’t mentioned.

Thank you for the adjusted changes to Journey and the updates to the mythics in Divinion Fields. (Astral Mother needed her final trait increased to a 50% chance to reflect and Worldbreaker needed his mana cost reduced to 26 imo)

But it is what it is. The penalty for taking more than 10 turns should be removed. We shouldn’t get less points when we can’t defeat enemies who are level 300+ in less than 10 turns. It’s one of the main reasons why difficulty scaling in the Journey event is so bad.

Looks like a slight improvement. Nice to see we can choose an option that doesn’t increase enemy level, even if it does come at the cost of less miles.
We still need for the max level to be capped or for the penalties to be reduced/removed. When enemies can scale forever and we get punished for taking too long to kill them, it makes the mode feel really unfair.
This is a step in the right direction, but it’s still not enough to make Journey a good event. Fingers crossed we continue to get improvements.

So far confirmed the 2 troops mentioned above are the only changes coming, but asked if that does change, for the blog to be updated if anymore are adjusted.

Someone back there must really not like Divinion Fields.

“I heard the players think Divinion Fields is a weak kingdom. Quick, let’s raise Artema’s damage by 1 damage! That’ll make the players think we did something!”

Meanwhile, buffing The Wendigo’s base damage doesn’t do much when it has a completely illogical half-magic penalty for its spell. Even Orrery got away from the half-magic penalty.

Lots of positive changes here. I’m ecstatic about this one, since Worldbreaker was my first Mythic. I’d like to use him more, just out of sentimentality. I thought we missed a chance at a buff earlier but glad to see he finally got one.

Well, 35/45/55 base with current penalty (-1 for every turn more than 10, up to -10) can be also read as “25/35/45 base with a bonus +1 for every turn less than 20, up to +10”. Compared to previous 30/35/40 base with penalty, you can say the penalty is not only removed, but grant extra bonus also.

That is, so long as reward requirement remains the same.

Thanks for doing more math on the turn penalty than me, my brain just wasn’t up to it at the time.:rofl: The devs did make journey better now that I looked at it closer. Before it was roughly 72 battles to achieve the 9,167 average member score. Now it’s about 58 battles to get that same score and collect all the rewards.

Hopefully, this makes it easier for newer players because if they didn’t have powerful troops and weapons, journey events could be too challenging for them.

Just making sure, this change now applies always, without any hidden caveats? I’m asking because the last time Journey was supposedly made easier, scaling secretly came back with a vengeance, and we only learned about it when we opened a bug report:

Just pointing out one last time: Tomorrow’s Faction Assault is set to be Frostfire Keep, the Stormheim faction. This is a Glacial Peaks week, so it should be Mirrored Halls.
