If I was looking for a creative way to make “small” modifications to the upcoming mythic in an attempt to make him nasty/viable? Instead of “If the Enemy is poisoned, drain double the mana”, how about “If the Enemy is poisoned, steal the mana”?
It’s Silverglade kingdom week now, but I cannot find kingdom map at the https://www.taransworld.com/GoW_graphics/?show=others (K26 is missing - https://www.taransworld.com/GoW_graphics/Game/Kingdomquestmaps_K26.png ). Could you please update this page?
Just read info in the Discord. Could you please pass your experience to someone still playing?
I can’t get rid of the awful feeling. The shutdown of taransworld - the most informative and the most reliable source of information about GoW - is the first omen that this game is moving to its inevitable death.
I am also frustrated by “reworked” GW posts. Nothing is fun anymore.
Taransworld shut down before, it didn’t herald the end of the game.
It has been the most useful tool for guild management.
I guess, I’ll adapt. But right now it is the “anger” stage for me.
Yes, unfortunate about Tarans. Last time, they were encouraged to stay but I doubt that will happen again because a lot of the older players are gone.
If I may have one request - To me, the most important part of TaransWorld is the event schedule (incl history). This is essential for time management. Could someone please replicate that somewhere? Thanks!
The event schedule has been appearing on the latest news page for about a yearish.

Thanks. That’s totally not usable to me because there are sometimes errors, and it uses images to represent things and not text. I don’t have the capacity to remember every image in this game.
It contains a link to a guide for all the information, if that helps?
And there’s usually a written list under the image.
Some folks are figuring out how to keep it going, or shift the content somewhere. Stay tuned…
to keep the other topic easier to find links without being flooded by Flower Dragon talk for now…
The Flower Dragons don’t look particularly exciting, but most of the 7 Kingdoms could use the damage output in Kingdom events. (Sword’s Edge, Forest of Thorns, Shentang, Zhul’Kari, Pan’s Vale, Ghulvania, Nexus)
2.75x magic is rather loaded for the base 6 dragons and some people are going to complain about power creep. I’m indifferent.
Enchant/Faerie Fire/Stun is nice (or could backfire)
Barrier Gems and Spirit Gems could backfire hard (waste time)
Burning Gems is basically nothing and something I wish they’d replace…
I can’t tell if those 3rd traits are going to be underrated or a waste of time. Might not be the quickest way to win, but I still remember back to the times of Mountain Crusher.
I don’t like the Big Expensive Dragon… Making 6 Stone Blocks (2 Deathmark, 2 Angel, 2 Ghost) is a dud and stealing life from Skulls from the 3rd trait isn’t as useful as stealing life from a color gem. Spell and 3rd Trait doesn’t mix well either.
The one upside I “guess” is it does the most damage on one cast (3.25 x magic) and has the benefit of not having to wait like Stellarix does to match gems and bounce the board.
I want to say: “I wish they were more exciting” but at this point, I don’t have any hope for changes. For once, it’s not even a bad damage thing either.
Bane of Ambition though… I don’t know about good, but it sure looks “fun”. I want to try it out. Spreadsheet doesn’t list Mana Cost though, so it could be dead on arrival. One day we’ll get a perma-green storm, but perma-bone storm in 2025 wasn’t on my Bingo card.
The closest we have to a perma BoneStorm is the legendary troop Scylla, once you get a 4-5 gems match. Thanks to the legendary troop Gingeraxia, we have a perma Leafstorm, but paired with a Firestorm, if that makes sense.
2.75x magic is rather loaded for the base 6 dragons and some people are going to complain about power creep. I’m indifferent.
Well, I’m not so indifferent. I’m at the other end of the spectrum in that I’m starting to get alarmed by what I see as a vicious cycle of power inflation that’s only accelerating. That we’re starting to see a lot of issues with this game that the developers might be trying to “paper over” by giving us bigger, badder hammers to whomp everything with because they’re out of other solutions.
The original set of Gem Dragons are Magic x 1.5 with Diamantina at Magic x 2.
The second set of Gem Dragons are Magic x 2.5 with Stellarix at Magic x 3.
This new set of Flower Dragons are Magic x 2.75 with Chrysantherax at Magic x 3.25.
But it’s not just them. I understand that mythics ought to be mythics and stand well above the rest of the troops, but we’re starting to see a lot of mythic troops (and a couple at lesser rarities, too) that have Magic x 2 or higher for their spells. And this at a time when a lot of players have higher base stats than ever before, which only feeds into that even more.
A deflationary cycle would be worse, because it would likely chase new players from the game through an inability to keep up with veteran players who had the benefit of being around when “the good stuff was handed out”. But this isn’t much better. Giving us new stuff to annihilate the enemy more quickly sounds great, at least until it makes certain game modes much more difficult because the other side has all those nukes as well. Things such as PvP in Blood Frenzy regions or the upcoming revival of Guild Wars, or trying to fight certain things at high levels such as Journey.
I guess there are limits to new and creative things that the developers can do with troops and mechanics constrained by what the code can be made to do without massive re-writes. But my experience with other large-ish projects like this is that the inflationary cycle doesn’t end very well, either. Either you get to a point of ridiculous-ness with the power creep, or strategy converges to a singularity because all the past stuff simply can’t keep up and why should anyone bother with it then?
Stellarix is gone from defensive teams in PvP because it’s too powerful/annoying to face. So what are they looking to do? Introduce a new dragon, Chrysantherax. Who, as things are now, will be able to oneshot my entire team in blood frenzy PvP. That’ll totally be fun. (not)
Too much power creep for my liking. PvP is already offensive favored. More battles = more wins = more VP. This sort of power creep risk that appearing in other game modes as well. Where both sides do so much damage it’s kill quickly or die quickly.
Finally! been waiting for weeks to peak some information to make informed decisions with my burning marks/other marks.
Pretty solid legendary. Blue Merfolks are starting to get very crowded (most Merfolks are Blue or Green, though the only B/G ones are Undine/Clam Lasher/Tuskor).
Pound for pound, I prefer the Deep King, but… Treviamus plays nicely (nicer?) with troops like Azura… I could see myself trying to get 2.
Reavnarokkr is a bit of an odd one. The spell reminds me of Zilopochtli (not a fan favorite), but instead of doing double damage potentially to any troop, Reav only does it to Purple enemies. Very restrictive unless its a purple day and even then… Quite honestly, I think the spell sucks. 24 mana to do what it does? … If you’re not facing a purple enemy, even Fist of Zorn is better. That’s a really low bar.
However, that trait set is strong. Enrage after an enemy dies, Stealthy, and potentially a Rising Shadow like thing on an enemy kill is solid. (until it gets hit by Elementalist right?)
At this point, this troop can see use, but you’d never cast it as its not worth the turn loss to use it.
I’m interested in trying the troop as something that sits around doing nothing. Is that good design? not for me…
Buff Reavnarokkr’s spell please. Considering it should be coming out on Monday, its probably too late…
P.S. Might play nicely with Bane of Ambition, definitely something I’d like to try.
To keep it brief:
Immortal Selene: I’ve been burned by Immortal Aquaria one too many times not being able to target 1st slot Arach Weaver that I’m ready for a different Bay of Stars troop. Immortal Selene is good enough. I’m assuming the Awakened version is 3 Enchanted/Purple Gems per turn, which if its anything Immortal Glaycia, is something I like.
Pretty good Rogue, pretty good Silverglade troop. Thumbs up from me.
Immortal Gemini: As an Undead, I rather have Immortal Ossifer. As a Winter’s Reach troop, I’d rather have Immortal Glaycia. As a Ghulvania troop, the only way I’d use it is a 1st slot Invulnerable troop. Never say never, but at this moment I don’t need it.
The Taranium is a great resource! If I could make one request, I’d love a section for shiny upgrade spoilers and awakened traits/spoilers. For Scarabi moments etc.
You already summed up the spoilers pretty nicely, @TheIdleOne, but here’s my take on the tidal wave if content that will hit us on Monday.
The pvp shop legendaries:
The new legend from Merlantis is solid and will be well worth the silver marks. The fact that he can summon an ice storm with his spell and can boost the magic of ally merfolk make him have some really good synergy. The AOE damage is the only thing that bothers me because most merfolk will counter this with submerge. True splash damage like The Deep King would have made this an absolute monster of the deep.
The new mythic from Maugrim Woods (that’s going to be 7 mythics now, geez) is…interesting. Like you mentioned, the traits are what make him really unique, and he could just destroy teams because stealth, enrage, and free kills are an insane setup, much like Arachnean Weaver. The spell will block mana for the rest of your troops and is really holding him back and should have had a small devour chance instead of bleed.
Immortal Selene: She will easily replace Immortal Aquaria for Bay of Stars so that we will have an easier time getting the magic bonus from the Krystenhall monolith. I’m actually debating on trying to chance epic burning chests on her because 3 enchant gems per turn would be amazing and her weapon is not too shabby either because it gives half mana to all other allies if Selene is on your team.
Immortal Gemini: Immortal Glaycia is better in every way except if you level her all the way up to 30 because 3 purple mana potions per turn would be insane. (Don’t break the bank trying for that though). I had a feeling she was going to steal life, but thought that they might make her curse and inflict lycanthropy on 4 or more gem matches. Glad that didn’t happen, as that would bring back nightmares of The Moon Flask campaign…
for better or worse, Azura and Leviathan have dispel lol.
If its anything like the other awakened 50% traits, pretty sure its just 50% chance to make 3 purple mana potions. Definitely strong, but 50% of the time lol. I prefer 100% of the time variants; I like consistency.
Same. I’d prefer a 100% chance to create 1-2 potions, over a 50% chance to create 3, for consistency.
