(!) Spoiler Alert (!) -- [Any Details Provided are Subject to Change] (Part 2)

Valentine’s day, maybe. Christmas, likely not, already have Winter Armor for that. Kinda excited for every Holiday event to have its own new armor. I will definitely get it, as there will be no Orb of Power achievement to distract me anymore.

My guess for Crimson Armor would be Lunar new year, to pair with Moon Rabbit Lady, as it will be the Year of the Rabbit.

There is another unknown Shentang troop with unknown release date, Vermillion Bird.

It’s a fire bird, so crimson will be fit enough with the team, and maybe Shentang will have its week around that time, with this as a glory troop. It’s been a while since one.

Or… they can go with the crimson moon theme. And Chinese celebration have a lot of red color in general, so one of that reasons. Lol.

Also, Fun Fact! Vermillion Bird is one of the Four Symbols of Chinese constellations, also representing a cardinal directions. There are

  • Azure Dragon of the East (Penglong)
  • Vermilion Bird of the South (This troop)
  • White Tiger of the West (Baihu)
  • Black Tortoise of the North (?)

Shentang’s questline of both version also include this theme, but only Penglong fit the theme, the rest are just generic creature, which they don’t even bother to include Baihu last time.

I hope they did this Four Symbols guardians justice next time, and I’m excited for what they did with the tortoise in a future. A Mythic/Boss, craftable from Growth Orbs would be so cool!

One of them was unreleased since forever, already have pictures, banner, weapon and everything.

“Hunter’s Mark your enemies to deal extra Skull damage to them.” Hm… i wonder what will be the top troop of this Warband.

There are also two less known “constellations”: an Old Hook (sometimes represented as a bull) and a Rising Snake. They are placed in the center, between 4 directional ones. I think we can expect 3 more thematic troops in Shentang.

December mythic

22 mana troop version of the hero Crypt Keeper weapon…

hero version is Deathmark, and do magic+1 true dmg to everyone below boosted by enemy Deathmarks.

so is this enough of a difference be creative or is this just pure lazy design? can’t tell.

(this troop is going to run into the same problem as the hero weapon… it can only curse/deathmark when there’s only one enemy left despite all of the magic it may gain from its 3rd trait, which is a pretty terrible downside to the spell. If they were smart, this troop would gain life based on magic or something similar to that to prevent feelbad moments.)

You’ve already got a damage boosted by magic mechanic, and the developers have been very hesitant to have two things within the same spell boosted by (something). There are a few, but only a very few.

In my opinion, the “better” alternative would be to say “deal damage to that enemy and all enemies below them”. So that if there was only the one enemy remaining, it takes the damage as well as getting cursed and death marked.

Not that I’m expecting anybody to use this mythic in a serious team.

Hmmm, while the hero weapon from the start is better, i actually like this troop. It still will benefit from undead lords like TGK but it could be cooperative with xanthenos if you get the summons off.

Alternatively, it could work well in an Elspeth team or other sacrificing troops that resummon. Honestly, it feels like you could build around this troop.

I doubt it will be great, but at least the teams built with it would be different.

You deathmark also impervious and dwarves because of Curse.
Will it apply Curse before Deathmark right ? :upside_down_face:

We need to know if we gain 10+ magic when spell is casted, even if the team si full, since “summon” command is always triggered

FWIW, most of the strings relating to the new orbs were blanked (removed?) in the 2022-11-17 update.

Based on the spell description and similar multi status spells, i would imagine it would curse first. As for the summon fail, that’s hard to say.

The only current traits that work on a summon are the hero, but only a small handful of spells can “fail” a summon, particularly when the condition was met with a full team.

I would assume no, but i haven’t tested a summon fail and trying to web an opponent. Based on the spell, since the summon is not conditional on a troop dying, x gems of a color, etc. I don’t think that would come up.

The mythic next month is just ok. If you have to spend set up time to make it “work” it falls behind so many other troops. Doing 1.5 times damage to 3 troops puts it behind so many other troops when it comes to damage…and gaining 10 magic, even if it procs for future damage on a failed summon, still puts it behind so many other damage dealers.

If you looking at it as a damage troop, it is B-Tier,…if you looking at it as a curse option for the first troop, then you have so many other options it seems unnecessary. It is hard to think of a team that will be viable compared to 20 to 30 other teams already being used.

When a mythic comes out, it needs to hold its own as a damage troop so we can use it on different teams and restrictions. If not it needs to have great crowd control, positive or negative or amazing board control. Few mythics work when they tap their toe in all or some of these.

They’ve added enough where its not a special mechanic to have a double boost. most within the last year or two.

I’d prefer if it did damage to an enemy and all enemies below it, but that’s not what they’re ripping off designing otherwise they could have just taken the spell off Champion of Anu/Hex Rat.

Wow, they actually lowered Deathlock Dreilak’s 3rd trait on release from 10 magic to 8 magic.

I don’t know what to say to that. Did it need that change?

Nope, it’s was a rubbish troop already and now it’s an even more rubbish troop :-1:

They want to make sure that it isn’t viable as they do with most “mythic” troops.

Hey guys! Any tips about the new kingdom release date?

Hi,first troop from Vulpacea(3 Headed Fox) on Taran has a release date 30.Jan.2023

30 January 2023 is the first day of the next campaign. I have doubts that it’s the new kingdom’s release date; both Nexus and Hellcrag didn’t release until several weeks into their campaigns.

If you go a little further down Taransworld’s troop spoilers page, the first big cluster of the new kingdom troops arrives 20 February 2023, or the start of Week 4 in the campaign. That’s where I suspect it’s going to be, although we won’t get enough spoiler-ific information until the next major update to be certain (game and spoiler site both).

But the February date is where I’d be betting if you insisted I put some money where my mouth is.

Hm… Still no data yet on Spirit Walker class. Will be available later, I guess.

Vulpacea Kingdom debut on Feb 20th is still 2 months away.

We normally don’t see the information for a new campaign filter into the spoiler sites until the very end of the previous campaign. Sometimes it’s the developers being stingy with the data, but it’s frequently because that data is based upon new alterations in the code from an update that doesn’t go “live” and “public” until that time.

We’re in Week 5 of the current campaign. I wouldn’t expect most of the information for the new kingdom and class, the troops for the next campaign, et cetera, for another month. Give or take a few days.

This seems like a surprising amount of unreleased mythics lined up  Maybe they’re just ahead with the artwork for a change.

There’s a Tarot card for Glacial Peaks in spoilers, maybe that means Glacial Peaks is the kingdom for the next campaign?

They are. I’ve also tended to view a lot of what you see on those pages as a “concepts board”; you’ll often see ideas floated there that either never come to fruition or won’t appear in the game for many years. For example, there was a lengthy span of time when there was one of those “holder” troops like all of those mythics whose only information beyond the usual “filler” stuff was a single trait that ended up being the Elemental Force trait we all love/hate on the Elementalist class.

The timing for the Raven Lord – something that’s been in place for a while now – strongly suggests (to me) that this is the case. I believe there’s also a Glacial Peaks “future” pest on that page that’s worded with “Campaign 13”.
