(!) Spoiler Alert (!) -- [Any Details Provided are Subject to Change] (Part 1)

I actually started to keep a log like you did, but I stopped when I saw i was getting screwed week after week, and all it was doing was pissing me off & hate the game.

Keep going with the log. Really. It’s exceptionally hard to correctly gauge random events from memory, your brain is very good at nudging you towards the one conclusion you expect to find. I felt a long time like I was always getting the short end of the stick farming arcane/celestial traitstones, until I actually kept track.

Now that’s it’s the same for everyone, it’s kinda hard to keep the motivation. At least now I know i’m not getting it better or worse than anyone else.

It still allows identifying trends, e.g. if the introduction of deed tasks has significantly decreased the appearance of gem tasks. Besides, I think the top task might still be picked individually.

I can confirm that it is. A member had 150 purple troops task yesterday. He tagged everyone excitedly because he thought all of the AB was the same for everyone now.

Oh good. Nice to know I’m still getting reamed with that task.

That’s correct. The intention behind the system is that deeds given for free are up to random chance to appear on the AB, are random in color, and somewhat random (fixed amount by rarity of task rolled) in quantity. Yes, it’s going to be a frustrating experience.

And that’s where the flash offers come into play. They will allow players to buy specifically offered deeds to avoid the RNG of the AB.

Seconding AWRyan. It was stated on the dev Q&A stream that the top task is still randomly rolled for each player every day. The bottom three tasks are fixed for everyone.

It makes me think of the idea of Gems becoming P2W. We are moving towards the moment when the player who buys cash resources will fire in front of the one who seeks the resources in play.
After this form of update, I can only hope (with little hope) for Update 4.6. But I’m not sure if I’m still playing in January, after more than 4 years every week in Gems of War.
I hope this system will be revised in order to favor all players. At the moment I can say that I am very disappointed. And I don’t think I’m the only one.

its not like you’ll never get deeds, it’ll just take non-paying players longer. still sucks, but they’re not withholding complete access to deeds.

Are the prices for deeds already known?
They only seem to be in flash offers and flash offers doenst exists on my plattform (PS4).

So basically PS4 shouldn’t have any deeds unbalance. :man_shrugging:

Yes, i am defintily not unhappy about that!

Just wanna know the price.

I didn’t saw even 1 deed flash offer yet. While it have already been a AB deed task.

If this balance continues so, no one’s gonna get p2w ahead. At least not a lot.

Yeah I have to point out we should all keep in mind that unless whales are getting secret flash offers we aren’t (which is technically possible) nobody but the devs know what the flash offers look like.

Also this confirms I was right about where all the time for QA went, I thought I was just being cynical.

Today we had the worst AB since Update 4.5 arrived
I can already imagine the most patient players completing all the kingdoms in lvl15 in about 5 years of much struggle and luck …

Mecha Gnome is still listed as Dec 31 2029 on TaransWorld. Does this mean it will be released after all current troops with release dates? Or is there a history of troops suddenly moving way up the queue?

I am so close to finally getting Zuul’Goth, and was going to earn the final few Orbs of Ascension in the Vault while I tried for Mecha Gnome. But if I need to wait till 2020 or later, I might as well just do it now.

There’s a history of troops (especially ones like that) moving way up the queue. That said, there’s no indication at all of when it might be released, so grain of salt, etc.

Spoiler update:

  • The Broken Spire faction is called Mirrored Halls but we already knew that.

  • Over 100 weapons and a bunch of troops got localization changes, most of the changes are capitalization-related. Weapons that destroy armor now eliminate armor. Still don’t know why they chose to rename this effect but whatever.

  • The Diabolist class’s unique trait has a 25% chance to summon a Nightmare when an Ally casts a spell. Good trait trigger, but in context the trait is pretty bad (Nightmare is a garbage Common and Diabolist has no Stealthy or 50% mana start). Fiend Fire isn’t too bad as a mass Curse but there are better options.

  • Did we know Mirrored Halls was +2 Yellow/+1 Blue/-1 Red before?

Mirrored Halls is Glacial Peaks faction, not Broken Spire faction.

Yes.

Spectacular September seems to continue next month, with two more good troops being added to the roster. Kryshound is made for scaling content, a gift to newer players that may open up new options for end-gamers. And Moira Cragheart may be the first event troop that sees use outside of events, as she seems designed to counter titan-class front slot heroes with her traits and spell.

Anyone else think these two will be useful?
