Soul Harvest

The bloody lack of communication is the problem.

And some obscure post from a beta tester!

My friend and i got two each this morning.

I have been doing pvp all day: no more have dropped.
She has been doing explore all day: no more have dropped.

They lied AGAIN! There is NO chance after you gain two. It is capped.

Agreed, we still will get enough to craft the weapon, but the lies are the issue here.

Thank you for your response. I stopped expecting after I got 2 copies so I am not annoyed like you explained.

I wouldn’t call this one lying, just poor communication. They wouldn’t even have anything to gain here by intentionally providing incorrect information, unlike what keeps happening with their loot boxes. They probably just didn’t know better.

I’d say people grinding for hours expecting something to happen benefits them. The more people play they more money they spend.

Do they? I usually tend to spend money to avoid grinding, and that option doesn’t seem to be available. It’s a freebie, I really wouldn’t judge semantics too harshly here. Maybe @Jeto could do some research and adjust the announcement to be more in line with what is happening? To prevent players from possibly wasting a few hours looking for something that isn’t there?

The communication about the odds are terrible again!

However I wonder if the flesh horror would appear more than two times a day after Wednesday.
A little time gate to prevent players crafting the weapon on the very first day, but by Thursday everybody will have it who plays daily.

Exactly. For most people if they are grinding for something they can’t pay for, they are far more likely to pay for something they can skip to compensate for time lost.

It won’t. Way too special handling to explicitely code it this way, and several years of waiting for Doomed Blade changes have shown us that manual reconfiguration on short notice is entirely out of their league.

Still “too soon”???

There’s zero reason to know this. But I’ve been playing GoW for 5 years now. So it doesn’t take me long to figure things out. This is a puzzle game. I’m trained and proficient in the devs bull shit ways.

This is the match 3 way.

Does anyone know whether Trick and Treat will cause Lycantrophy as one of the effects on the chosen troop?

You are absolutely wrong. They “fixed” GAP in an instant. They replaced the traits on the delve troops of whatever faction, they could reconfigure the diminishing percentage easily.
Probably not gonna happen but due to greed and not inability. If somebody don’t get enough copy this week their only chance is the vault key and that almost means never.

You are correct. However, those changes were made in response to something coming up they considered important. I doubt that they would intentionally plan in extra configuration effort mid-week to increase the number of freebies players can get.

I would safely assume that Lycanthropy will be one of the “negative” traits inflicted. Just like is done for the Essence of Evil weapon.

Question is, will Curse be applied first?

You’re both right.

In this games-as-a-service world we live in, the longer a game keeps you ‘engaged’…

  • The more chances the game has to advertise to you
  • The more chances you’ll get frustrated from the grind and buy stuff instead (when applicable)
  • The less opportunity other games have to advertise to you

It’s not just about getting All Of The Money. It’s also about getting All Of The Time and ‘starving’ the competition in the process. Don’t forget, even if you don’t spend, you provide content for other players (i.e. you contribute to your guild with gold/event participation…if you pvp, your team can show up for other players to battle…etc.).

He has appeared for me 2 times already

Based on the in-game help text, curse is applied last. The last line of the help text says: “Impervious troops will only be cursed.” Of course, we’ll have to see if that’s actually the case when someone crafts it.

Interesting. Looking at the Essence of Evil weapon description, we have:
NegStatEffects

This is the same text for the Trick And Treat weapon. We know that the EoE was reprogrammed to make up for adding Lycanthropy as a “negative” effect.

So, the question is, did they program this new weapon differently or the same as the EoE? Like you said, we’ll find out when we use it against an Impervious enemy.

There’s one Australian Casino company at the moment up shit creek and struggling to hold its license after going to a royal commission. As far as I am aware, it’s a ‘for now’ situation.

But funny story, it’s legal to go to a yugioh/magic tournament, pay money to enter and have a slim chance to actually win prizes. But it’s illegal to go to a Scopa event, pay and entry fee that covers drink and food, and maybe win a $5 voucher from the host.

Just saying.
