Whorbes…giggity lol
Im not mad about it, i just hope we will be able to win a mix of everything like the guild tasks.
Im curious to see how many people will forget to set GW def every 3 weeks
Trust me when I say… In my guild. There will be zero. I run it super relaxed… outside of guild wars.
And most likely raids… And invades… Lol.
Oh well… looks like I was wrong…
I just read the original post again. The dev did say they’re obtainable by vareity of tasks, so not entirely money-exclusive for sure. But what kind of task though? Adding in Guild tasks can be very unbalanced to existing reward.
For example, the best way to use each 3 Major Orbs.
But there are more than this 7 Orbs, and they have something to do in Soulforge? Can they be crafted by Diamonds? Yeah… we really need more info.
I would say that 300-500 Event Keys to get a new Legendary all 6 copies to ascend is probably worth more than the 5,000 Gold Keys.
That being said, it actually takes about 25,000 Gold Keys right now, so … YMMV?
When will all this be displayed??? I do not see it yet.
They haven’t announced a firm release date for the latest update but they have said they are trying to release it this month.
I only saw this now, but…
If you need 10+ hours for those stones, you need a better explore team before you need any orb. Five hours is reasonable, but 10+ means something is not right with your team or you are suffering from horrible lag.
There’s been several occasions where i had one arcane drop in an hour, on 4x speed, using sunbird/rowanna/2x firebomb. So it’s not that far fetched. For new players who don’t have kingdoms leveled or are just traiting their farming team the figures above are even more likely. I imagine orbs would be a godsend to them.
Yes, sorry @Sheba but if you get 42 Arcanes in 5h you are incredibly lucky
Might explain why?
With Sunbird/Ogryn/Firebomb/Forest Guardian as a team, 180 battles on average an hour is very doable - it depends a bit on location; some are slower (Mist of Scales, Adana…), some even faster (Leonis, Broken Spire, Khaziel…). Using the middle here.
There is a 6% chance of an Arcane dropping every battle in explore.
That’s - if I do my math right (feel free to correct me, I am not good at math) - 10,8 Arcanes on average an hour.
You need 42. You have that after four hours with that math. And I can confirm that given my own experiences with how long I need, as I do take short breaks for my eyes, so five hours on average is reasonable for me.
My results, so far, are pretty close to Sheba’s experience:
*Note that these numbers are the double Arcanes and Celestials from this event.
Just from the arcanes alone i had 52 drops (doubled by the event) in 750ish battles (discounting pvp battles until tier one, and dungeon battles each day).
Over a huge amount of battles things even out, but yeah, it’s ver possible to have nearly 100 battles without a single Arcane or Celestial drop sometimes. That’s luck/RNG.
Yeah, I have these unlucky days, too (and they are always in the locations I hate the most, of course). That’s pretty normal. I remember when I was trying to trait Ketras and absolutely nothing would drop in Wild Plains and then I would go to Khaziel to kill dwarves for the event week and I had like 19 Arcanes after an hour.
I personally can only recommend to those who have bad luck some sort of trick strategy. I do it like that: I fight ten battles. If no Arcane drops, I take a really short break - grab a drink or check the forum or just stretch to rest my eyes; not more than 1-2 minutes. Then I do another ten battles. The catch: Whenever an Arcane drops, I “reset” the ten battles and start counting again, taking no break until the ten-without-drop are counted down fully again.
There are times where I take a lot of breaks an hour. And then there are times where I end up playing for 20 minutes straight because the Arcanes keep coming and I almost wish they would stop because my eyes start to hurt (but I’m superstitious enough to believe that if I stop, I break the streak.). It does even out to 10/hour with doing ~180 battles, I promise.
Eh, there are a lot of factors that play in. Last night in about an hour I got 7 arcane drops. The next hour I got 2. You’re dealing with probability, and it doesn’t always fit your expected curve.
Interesting team though, I’m noting it to try out. What other people said is true: a lot of these farming teams seem to assume:
Not all of these are always true for all players.
I see the numbers.
It never gets even close to 6% for me.
That would be, in a perfect world, an Arcane every 20 games.
It’s not. Not even close.
Maybe I am that unlucky guy.
Since Monday, I am trying to trait Skadi. I just completed the second trait. Can’t say how many games I have played, but it’s well over the stats.
Must be a luck thing, but when someone uses the old 6% argument, I feel like laughing and say « sure, and dragon soul only resurrect 25%! »
That is definitely true; it’s not possible to get that speed if you only have half of these things listed done. My Sunbird has - without Ogryn - 72 life and 22 magic and is, by now, at mythic (though he already did do very well at legendary).
Right now, I took Ogryn out to put the Sand Scuttler in for the event and it does slow me down a bit, as I do need two casts sometimes. But the nice thing is that Forest Guardian isn’t just letting Sunbird start with half Mana filled already, but also often fills himself after the Fire Bomb went off so often, I don’t need to re-fill Sunbird but can simply cast FG to end the battle. Even with Ogryn, these things happen (Adana and that battle with three Carnex + one random troop comes to mind) and FG is far more valuable than another Fire Bomb.
But yes… traiting Ogryn sucks. Traiting Forest Guardian sucks, too. Before I had Ogryn done, I went with two Fire Bombs and FG. Speed is everything.
Oh, and I also use Abyssal Banner, if that matters, even if it might seem strange to some to go with purple bonus over double red.
Honestly, that’s really unlucky, then. I can’t even say anything to that; I do also have those battles where I need 80-90 to get one to drop but then those are sometimes followed by those were one drops every third battle and that like five times in a row. I personally can say that - unlike TDS resurrection, where my luck equals yours - 6% does seem correct for me.
I have logged 755 explore matches since the event started. 56 Arcanes dropped and that is not including the multiplier. The ratio that I have always used is you’ll average getting one Arcane per every 16th match. Sometimes you might go 50+ matches and not get a one, and other times get 3 or 4 in about 15 matches. It’s just streaky like that.
Since I started keeping records I have a total of 3,120 explore matches played and 196 Arcanes have dropped for those data collecting.
That’s really cool and you’re a bit better than average with that, even!
Only thing I ever did was count how many battles I got done in an hour in different locations.
