Queen Mab, The Goddess

More of a meat shield then.

If we talk tanks c-bat is a better tank then soothsayer.

Perfectly said @Koolbiird!

Tanks soak up damage and are hard to kill. Soothsayer in this role is a Meat Shield

It feels like anything that doesn’t have Stoneskin or better can’t be considered a tank (other than maybe the hero), which is a little sad. Armoured feels like an “off-spec” tank, to use an MMORPG term, they tank in their off-time but their main role is something different.

But yeah Koolbiird said it perfectly, Soothsayer is a meat shield. He is definitely more of an enabler and offensive support.

And to chime in on the two legendary copies in one team, I agree that I figured the Legendaries would only be one copy per team when I started out. Will be interesting to see how this plays out, and what the devs do, as they have all the data.

I think a troop with self-heals can count as a tank too (Anointed One, Abhorath, Behemoth) but these are more offensive than Stoneskin tanks and are therefore riskier to play.

True, traits like Huge and Immense, and heal abilities do allow for some HP tanking, but as you said they are more offensive tanks and more likely to get splatted with a string of bad luck.

Seems more like an offence-type healer class.

Those Troops I would categorize as tank/offensive hybrids. Good in 1st slot, even better in the 2nd as a “backup” tank once they charge up.

Removal of Arcane would anger me. It is the reason I went and purchased the troop.

The mass transformers, to me, seem to ignore that they almost always bring an extra turn with them in their costs.

If you add something like “Ends the turn” onto the mass transformers, it really hurts the fun, but it also really slows down some of the rapid PvP decks.

The data I would like to know, of the top ranked PvP players how many of their invade teams rely on transformations? It keeps sounding like the speed kills rely on Mercy, Valkyrie, or Immortal King, as their main power plants.

I really don’t get how so many people are shouting down veteran players who do hundreds of invades a day. Like we can’t tell the difference between teams, with that much collective experience and data. “Oh you don’t know what you’re talking about comparing speeds, it is this way for me with my hundred per week so you can’t have an opinion that isn’t mine. I don’t even use that team.”

Sick of this thread, leaving.

Please don’t even consider removing Arcane!!
That would be really disappointing.

If you do anything you should make the amount of gems required for an extra turn higher, or increase the cost of her skill a little bit or even decrease the scaling of her skill with magic…but please do not take away Arcane! That feels so much like a bait and switch  Give us something really fun (and I absolutely LOVE Arcane! This is the first troop I’ve been able to trait with it and I was so excited) and then replace it for something else… Queen Mab is my favorite troop because she’s so fun to use. And, personally, I’ve only ever lost against one Queen Mab team…and it was a battle I should have lost regardless of their team comp (fully maxed out kingdoms and fully traited guys, when my group…well not so much…their team was just superior regardless of composition).

I hope that you do not have to resort to taking it away. I’m hoping for a small nerf that will make a fair compromise. Removing Arcane shouldn’t be that compromise, because that’s huge and would upset a lot of people who really like her. I hope a number tweaking would instead be sufficient.

Should we talk about counters to queen mab?

Lol! That was a joke right?

If something is overpowered then instead of talking nerfs we should focus on counters instead.

Hero weapon: Fiery Claw- Double damage to troops using blue mana
Hero weapon: Holy Symbol- Double damage to troops using purple mana
Hero weapon: Ghost’s Bane- Removes blue gems to boost damage
Elf-Eater: Double damage to Fey

At high levels, she is terrible on defense. She is mainly used for her third trait. Queen Mab’s offensive efficiency is what is being debated.

That’s exactly the aspect I argue, on offense Mab is too easy.

Removing the Extra Turn wouldn’t really hurt Defense, on Offense it’s being exploited into oblivion

I would hope they don’t remove the extra turn, because that (and her Arcane trait) are what make her fun to play.

I think they should get rid of her Immune to Frozen talent and increase the amount of gems that are needed for an extra turn to something that isn’t so easily gotten.
Then that adds another counter to her because it can take away her ability for an extra turn altogether.

People should use more silencers and freezers against Queen Mab. Those are pretty good counters. Plus a Shadow-Hunter can one shot a Queen Mab and is super cheap…I’ve noticed that AI likes to target my Queen Mab with that skill…

Shadow Hunter doesn’t target. He just hits your healthiest troop.

You are on record for saying this^ Whether I agree with it or not will have to be derived through summation. :sunglasses:

Oops, I forgot about that. Haven’t read his skill in long time. Just knew he could practically one shot any of my troops :stuck_out_tongue:

Also, on a note to everyone…there are a lot (and I mean a LOT) of comps that are just as fast as Mab. Her offense doesn’t feel THAT insane. It’s very good, yes…very strong offensively…but it doesn’t feel so much better than anyone else, to me at least.
