List of losses due to rollback

I played more than 1,000 runs of Exploration 11 yesterday, earned over 3,000,000 gold coins, medals, plus crowns and dragon stones from merchants and angels. This kind of treatment is total garbage, it’s making me want to quit playing.

Thinking of it you have a vital point. We just got Astral Spire to the game which is a blessing.

Would you rather them ban everyone for using gems that weren’t meant to be theirs instead?

This was the reasonable thing that they could do is roll back a did.

I agree, biggest mess up in gems of war history but they have to do something about it.

And I know they will.

Get the pitch forks and torches out after the compensation.

Thank you @Eika, you know me and you have seen a lot with this game. About 10 years for me. Abd they have never said “ just deal with it.”

They own up to their mistakes and send out what they think is enough.

So maybe some astral stones or something worth while?

Please help me get this order solved abd let them hear what we want cause we all jnow over 100k gems is not gonna happen.

You really nailed it there, totally agree.
They DO need to try and compensate some of the resources lost, but this goes so far beyond that. Stuff like your suggestions would go a long way to undoing the damage to player confidence.

No.
They need to see players have already picked up the pitchforks and torches. They need to understand how badly they messed up and how much they shattered player confidence.
If they don’t see it, they won’t understand and whatever they do as compensation will fall too short.
Better they understand how players feel first and adjust their actions, instead of messing up a second time and having to do a second round of apologies and compensation.

I didn’t even get that

If the loudest, angriest members of this community are going to hold out for “everything plus a pony”, there’s no way to satisfy any of them. And if I were the developers I wouldn’t even try, because you’d probably have to bankrupt yourself to make them happy. That juice simply isn’t worth the squeeze.

For the rest of us? Let’s start with some measured compensation that would reflect what a reasonable player could have earned yesterday “doing the minimum”. Give out 60 star stones for everybody, under the assumption that they’d have hit that Adventure Board task. Give out the Gold Marks for PvP completion, under the assumption that they’d do the handful of fights necessary to farm that. Maybe even give everybody one day’s worth of Dungeon rewards – especially the Dragonite – under the generous assumption that they’d have had a perfect run. (That’s not really an excessive or costly-to-them amount of stuff.) Maybe give everybody a bonus Lantern for next week’s Underspire as a “sorry we eff’ed that up and you lost a day of progress”.

For those people who didn’t “find a wallet in the street and promptly go shopping”? If you spent a handful of Vault Keys and got something nice you’d like to get back, allow them to submit a ticket and have somebody go through the database and restore that pull. The same thing with Burning Marks, or other limited currency. If you played a bunch of PvP, maybe do the same thing if you’re willing to wait for the developers to confirm it through the logs.

A lot of us saw it was a mistake and didn’t go hog-wild. Some of the rest of us decided that they didn’t care if the lost wallet belonged to a crime lord whose idea of “fun” might be “Imma gonna see if I can strangle you to death with your own small intestine”. And it’s the second group that ruins it for everybody else, because a rollback like we just saw is the “quicker” way to resolve things rather than go account by account through things and hand out bans and reversals on a case-by-case basis.

The developers eff’ed up. But let’s not pretend that a whole bunch of people out there didn’t immediately take advantage of the mistake to try and get for themselves. And some of these mistakes were sizable if you convert the gems accidentally mailed out to the amount of real currency that it would take to buy them (or the number of Hourly Tributes it would take to farm that many).

The developers DO need to compensate those of us who were caught as collateral damage. And to a larger degree than their past “apologies”. But they’re not the only ones in the wrong.

Yep, fought to earn 78k VP yesterday because it was Green Frenzy day, all gone.

Cool.
