Well I didn’t blew them. But if they take away those gems from me I earned rightfully, because they “need” to reset our progress, I won’t have enough to pay them back anymore anyway. This mistake will cost me resources a few 1000 gems worth either way. Or a few 100.000 gems if we add up time and other stuff as well. So where can I send my account details for payment?
Besides that it really shouldn’t be the players problem if someone on company side messes something up that tremendously …

I saw someone else suggest that they were going to accidentally roll everything back to zero, and everyone would start from scratch. I think that would be really funny too.
If they needed to do the rollback because those gems had real world value, and the rollback is blocking us from getting the gems in tribute for all these hours, they are taking money from us, by that logic.
Just pointing out that the people complaining about losing access to the game are just are valid as the devs worrying about people having some in-game currency the devs didn’t plan to give them.
As a programmer I can say that neither this nor the Guild Wars leaderboard debacle would have been difficult to fix if they had proper logs. They should anticipate that everything can and will fail, and have logs to let them easily reverse the errors.

Gem is too vague. This debacle is caused by them replacing paths with the library and then messing up compensation. Library should be the name.
