As a programmer I can say that neither this nor the Guild Wars leaderboard debacle would have been difficult to fix if they had proper logs. They should anticipate that everything can and will fail, and have logs to let them easily reverse the errors.

Gem is too vague. This debacle is caused by them replacing paths with the library and then messing up compensation. Library should be the name.

āyou might get 100 gems rather than the normal 50ā
letās just toss the daily quests and pvp.
letās see- thereās 60 of the new stars currency.
thereās diamonds from dungeons, plus a daily dragonite purchase many if not most of us make, i make because iām still 2 dragons short.
thereās another possible 120 dragonite from a potential perfect run.
thereās the 15 min exp booster from doing hero path or whatever they call it.
thereās the tower, tho that can be made up
thereās the faction weekend, doesnāt affect me, but other players iām sure.
thereās the gold marks from defending whatever city was under assault by the very few ppl not in the alliance.
plus iirc there were cities defended yesterday so more gold marks.
thatās all MINIMUM loss for me today, and iād bet for most other end level players
thatās the sort of compensation they should offer for taking a day from us.
and i get, like 50 gems, for a fair amount of grinders, this wouldnāt even come close to what a day took from yāall.

That is my fear as well. Given how Mobile/Desktop are connected, there really can become a difficult sync issue. More so, itās now many hours since the start of the rollback. I know when I worked in Corp Software - rollbacks were the last line of defenseā¦because the amount of moving parts per customer. The fact the dev here chose to do it as a first line makes me even more worried there is something major that we are not being told.
I know you canāt test for everything, but I know that rollback can create more problems

yeah. thatās the grinding aspect. cannot be calculated or replaced.
i was focusing on materials they could compensate for w rewards, and yeah, we probably wonāt get near that much, but iām thinking some of those stars, diamonds, gold marks and dragonite , because they REALLY messed up and are so sorry that hurt us all.
but instead,ā¦.55 gems?

no reason to keep that detailed logs anyway, pray god there are any
