Library Compensation Server Rollback

There not allowed to say sorry.

I used to work for QVC, we was told no matter what. Never say sorry. Your accepting responsibility then.

Even when it was all the companys fault, we couldnt say sorry.

My worry is that the Devs can’t find enough books to bribe the Librarian again…..

O ok. Thankyou.

You know what is funny, they probably used AI to ā€˜write’ the code and never checked it. How much you want to bet. There is no way a competent programmer did this.

nah this project so old, it barely touched by AI (at least yet)

20 minutes to reset, still down. that.’s at least 7 hours.

watch them put servers back up w 5 minutes to spare…

ā€˜we gave you plenty of time to play.

…or we might be standing over a corpse complaining. game might be dead, folks. i mean, 7 hours down for a rollback?

maybe all the devs are out celebrating drop bear day or something.

Tbh iv always thought, they used 15yos. Doing computer science in school.

To do this as work experience.

As i know 2 real devs, and this doesnt happen.

They write games. And triple check.

We expect compensation for this XD

There was no way they were opening it before reset anyway….too many possibilities of more angry people

But, if they aren’t up 30 mins to an hour AFTER reset, is it safe to assume it’s just going to be an all weekend thing?

Honestly the worst part of this is that I keep opening the game every 15-30 minutes out of habit because it’s the weekend, I haven’t had a lot of time to play this week, now I can’t play at all, and it’s been Friday night for a looong time now.

Ya, Customer support is always taught to say ā€œwe’re sorry you are having an issueā€ā€¦. And we are working on finding a solution for your problem.

I can’t tell you how many times I wanted to throttle folks because large brand name companies who manage millions of dollars through software should be at least told the truth. But most companies don’t want to take responsibility for the actions that happen because consumers use their products.

I’ve seen it with the Terms of Services (how many people actually read them?) I’ve seen it with ā€˜Have a complaint’ about a food product…. Legalize keeps them from having to be responsible.

Something like this would have been tested in QA in a normal company and signed off by a VP.

Actually - that isn’t quite accurate at least when I left Corporate America working in a very large international software company.

QA was always screaming about bugs. And Dev always made decisions on what to fix, even knowing that QA has stated clearly a crasher, or a corruption bug. I know software that was shipped with hundreds of ā€˜bugs’ (They wash them by deciding to Never fix, Unable to reproduce, Low impact….la la la) And then you have companies that re-design with every major release and recreate other bugs on top of the mess.

It’s why I finally got fed up and left.

Did everyone receive the same amount of stuff? (Particularly the 15,000 Gems.)

Or did the amount you received depend on the progress of your account?

(If everyone got the same, then they’ve just spent a lot of money and angered a lot of people over pretty much nothing. But I want to be sure before I make my argument.)

It was different for everyone from what I saw.
