(Me personally just watch a mail, post it and went for a sleep) And it’s a very sad situation, cause all what we have here that really matters is our time and emotions. Maybe some will look at it with a chance to get another 900 gems) or maybe devs suppose that you’ll wright a ticket with all sugnificant you loose and get it back by request. If logs are still there end it could be confirmed
Almost everyone got a mail with a random enormous amount of gems for a library rewards) some begun to spare it furiously and then devs rolls the servers back)
I would think if it was to be a simple server reset they would have completed it in a half hour or less. Hopefully, like the shiny keys fiasco they just reset inventories of all players that are unable to return the gems and either deduct the gems from the other players or remove the unopened mail. Erasing all the time players put in, especially those that didn’t go crazy with gems would be very bad.

THIS is still what I’m hoping too…..I’m assuming it’s just a full days reset, but still hopeful….
24h ago I planned on buying every star stone pack every week until astral spire is fully completed. But if this rollback messes everything up, I might just stop playing completely now that my account passed level 2000 not long ago. It’s cheaper and more fun to take a few trips on my motorcycle or work overtime than seeing all progress wiped regularly. And I definitely will never ever submit a ticket again on this game …

Why exactly are they doing a rollback, that’s the part I’m trying to understand. Is something truly broken and does not work going forward? Is the only reason to pull back the erroneous resources given out earlier? They’re going to rollback a day’s progress for the entire player base, for a resource error in our favor? Seems very odd.

Easiest option for them, really. Just go back in time and pretend nothing happened…for now. (in reality, they have a TON of work ahead of them making things right both for the honest players and the greedy morons)
Plus, it’s Friday; they’d normally all be gone by now.

So, if the Star Stones from AB are taken away, will AB be reset so we can earn them again? Or will the missing Star Stones from today’s AB be sent out to players who already collected them?

Same boat. A little over an hour ago I got home and tried logging in.. network error. I came on here to find out what was going on and read about this mess. I’m glad I wasn’t around earlier to get more negatively impacted by it. I feel bad for the people that wasted a lot of time playing today.

Having been in QA and ‘unprepared rollback like this’ it NEVER goes smoothly. I can think of ten things this Dev didn’t think of with the rollback. Especially some of the more time sensitive actions. Biggest is those of us Underspire loosing a whole day + the work done already for that day. On a Friday with two days left. Or the PVP… I’m in 6th place on the leader board. Moved up by two tonight. Now that is all gone. And the hourly tributes. This is a nightmare.

What I can’t understand is everyone received an ingame email with exact amounts they were ‘given’. And I know that it’s stored since the inbox contained that information. What would have been the best way is to do (and I don’t care if it’s 2000 or 20000 players) code to retrieve the email, and a code to remove that exact amount from each player.

Contain what damage though? That’s what I’m asking. Is something actually broken? Or do they just want to rollback the resources given out? We’ve dealt with a lot of things in the last 10 years and this is the first time I’ve been genuinely ticked about something they’ve done. I’m trying to determine if it is justified, or if they have a valid reason for negating the time and progress of all players. Pulling back accidental resources is not a valid reason.
If it’s determined that something is broken ongoing, then I completely understand the need. Just trying to see where we stand. If this is how players are going to be treated, I don’t think my spending money on the game, will be justified going forward.

Having gone through the 10k Gem fiasco in the early days of this game. I know how fast most people spent that. For those that pay, they would have gotten some stuff, or burned right through where they are going to need things next month.
And that was a TOTAL mess.
