The longer they keep the game offline the more people are going to find other things to occupy their time and potentially never come back.
Don’t mind them taking their resources back but they can’t give me my time back for yesterday. Not impressed with how they’re handling this or lthe lack of communication.
I don’t understand why we needed a rollback in the first place
So, a young account gets 35k gems or more. Yippie. Spend on gem keys, spend on Dragonite etc. Catch up a little. How is that a bad thing? It will motivate new players , exactly what we need.
And for long time players….the gems will go on the already huge pile of gems collecting dust.
The risk of destroying the game data with a rollback is not worth it
I know a low level player who got really motivated by the resources they received and spent the day excitedly levelling up. That engagement will be gone now.
This %! They’re done with their worst decision possible. What wages more? Losing money because of giving out falsely some gems or losing players because of a rollback due to their fault which leads up to devs losing their job?
Not at all. I saw the mail and never collected it. Don’t care about gems.
But a lot of players can use them . So let them! This game is impossible to play when you’re a beginner account. It needs so much time to catch up just a little that people just abandon it and start something else
This game is entirely funded by microtransactions and they just gave out hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of their premium in game currency and you want them to just say ‘Oh well, silly us!’ and leave it be? Get a grip, it was a mistake and mistakes need to be fixed like it or not. Everyone needs to suck it up and quit whining.
Never purchased gems but I’ve spent a lot of money on passes etc I don’t need any of the resources they sent out but for low level players it got them excited about the game and when the player count is so low on Xbox it’s potentially detrimental to the health of the game to take that enthusiasm and time spent away.
every month there are vault weekend, which might provide you with 10k gems if you work a lil bit on it, up to 50k if you have free time to spare.
Gems never were the rarest resource. Time is.
So am I to understand that you think they’re okay with denying us notifications about tribute opportunities starting in October 2024 without providing any compensation in return? Their mistakes are okay when we “suffer,” but not when it directly affects them?
Of course nobody buys gems, the prices are utterly absurd, but they are still the centre of the in game economy and you can’t flood the game with them without hurting your income from other transactions, that’s basic economics.
If I had 1 million gems it still wouldn’t stop me from buying campaign and PvP passes or lanterns. I think engagement and player retention far outweighs a bunch of gems floating around. More likely to lose players over them walking a full day back.
