Database restore….wow. I wonder what happens with the game if they restore to a point before reset and bring the game online after reset…
Will they have ever practiced this scenario? Game data might get fully corrupted in wordt case scenario

this compensation thing is gonna get real messy if it lasts till monday. because now people get royally screwed on tower of doom, pvp, underspire, and bounty. (and dungeon sunday diamonds etc). also multiple days of star stones

You know - I had the very same thought, because they have the system set in a way that is chronologically following a schedule. Is today going to be a ‘Friday’ when the base is restored. Will the saved stuff in the inbox (for the 15 minute awards) be 1 less or what.
There is so many things I can think of that are time sensitive in this game that a restore will mess up.
dont forget that’s gems of war section, where ‘few’ means anything!

Inbefore they found out backups are corrupted since 9.1 update and have to roll-over the last data from a week ago

Tribute per hour 25-30 x 8 hours = 200-240
In the history of the game, the compensations are miserable and pathetic.

I would hope that hasn’t happened. I know how really messy that would make things. I honestly can’t recall a time in the 10 years I have been playing that the system was down more than a few hours. And that was really early on when we were having too many connections to the server and causing it to crash… LONGLONG time ago.

Ya but I can’t recall when it’s the game has been off line…. I have been thinking about things that have gone wrong, or portions of the game that have failed…but it’s been a long time I believe since the whole system has been down like this.

I also bought 3 elephants from merchant offers within the last few hours. Will I find them again? Or do I have to play a few extra weeks to upgrade my delves the regular way?

Why is there also a server rollback for Switch players?
All the time Switch players were told, that they are on different servers - is this another lie?
No Switch player got that library compensation mail, hell, Switch even got the library/patch 9.1. yet!
Can someone contact Nintendo over this, cause that is truly a betrayal!

A few hours ……… over eight now and not a word from the devs. Irrespective of the reason for the mistake and the subsequent debacle in rectifying it the total lack of communication is pitifully bad.
Mistakes happen but learn from them and be open and honest about it. Adopting the ostrich approach is not a good look.

Yeah, how childish to expect proper communication, testing and accurate compensation. How childish to be mad over losing game progress because of their faulty coding and rollout.
There are still fixes needed for stuff that is known for almost two years, so i understand every single player that is Frustrated at this point

I canot access to the GoW , I have been trying different method, But saying the probelm connecting SSL. or sometime, please re try later.. But its going on for over 7-8 hours.. Anyoine knew what is going on ? BTW, I’m traveling Asia and hd no problem until ya few days ago, but now it won’t connect .
Server rollback that was supposed to take a few hours will probably take a few days.

They don’t have any ETA. They are a small team located mostly in Australia, so they’ll probably be asleep right now. It’s also weekend, meaning they’ll have difficulties even grabbing hold of anyone able to work on this. They might not even have started with the rollback yet, the servers were taken down to prevent players from progressing any further, then losing that progress too. It’s quite possible the game won’t be back before next week.
