[Known Issue] Bans for Everyone?

Rigged Numbers Generator? Makes sense. :expressionless:

Wish I knew. I was also wondering when people were unbanned way earlier who had been banned later than me.

I guess I still got lucky.

Previously I was told that they look at support tickets ordered by your VIP level. Maybe that contributes?

From which side? People with lower VIP levels that have been banned much later than me have been un-banned already?! While I’m still banned at 55ish hours.

VIP level has nothing to do with PVP. It depends on how much you paid to the game already.

I know. If I hadn’t been banned I would be VIP Level 6 now. But I’ve seen people with lower VIP levels being un-banned again. That’s why I was asking.

It likely was involving Kris Krinkle as it seems to have a few day delay from when I was farming 1,000s of maps.

I submitted Support Tickets both in the Appeal Ban category as well as the Technical Issue category… I also messaged them through the GoW Facebook page… posted in these forums, as well as the Steam forums…

Additionally, I detailed all my activity before the ban as well [to hopefully help them troubleshoot the issue when the main devs get back]… I’m not sure how many devs are working right now to reinstate the players, but I think there’s just one main one so far. They had posted that they had to stop for the night [4:40AM their time] but would continue during the day – I waited… Finally my ticket got a response, and the unban took place…

Others banned after me had also been unbanned before my ticket was reached… with (I’m assuming) hundreds of banned players needing to be manually unbanned one by one [the current dev doing all the work might not have full access to simply shut off all bans with one setting], it’s just a waiting game

Well I’ve missed Friday. I’ve missed Saturday. I’ve missed Sunday. Soon I’m missing Monday. It would help to know if I’m going to miss the rest of this year and the beginning of 2023 as well.

Not to be that person but maybe writing multiple tickets slows down the process, too.

Imagine everyone writes 2 to 5 tickets and they have to check every ticket. Only to notice the account was unbanned already earlier.

Not sure how the system works on their end so not sure if it hinders anything.

Have you checked your ticket if it’s still open and all?

Seems like a very long wait time to me. At least from those reporting here (and in my alliance, too) no one had to wait nearly as long.

Why should I open up a new ticket, when the old one hasn’t been worked on yet?!

Hopefully it doesn’t take as much time as tickets from Microsoft. I opened one in April 2021 (or 2020?) which hasn’t been solved until today.

There has only been the automated reply message 5 minutes after the ticket has been submitted a few days ago. No change since then.

Uh, yeah… I guess that will never be solved, huh?

Reminds me that we’ve wrote a ticket about something and never heard back from them, either. We solved the issue ourselves. But in the case of gems, that’s unfortunately no option.

The issue from MS can’t be solved, neither from them nor from myself. So I’m a little anxious that this will be similar.

Checked the status on the website that it’s still open?

You can add something to the ticket there, too. Not sure if it helps but maybe it could escalate things if you add a message to your ticket about your long wait time.

Sucks about the MS issue, but shouldn’t be happening here. Somehow your ticket slipped through (it shouldn’t but… Yeah…)

It’s ā€œpre-openā€. Only stated that a ticket has been submitted.

Either way there shouldn’t be a need for submitting tickets at all in the first place. Devs (or their automatic banning technology) have banned 1000s of people on several platforms, so it’s on them to clean up the mess.

People shouldn’t be treated as ā€œguilty until proven innocentā€ when they’ve done nothing wrong.

Some members of our guild already quit the game forever on bad terms, we lost all our trophies from the last 6 months and those that didn’t quit yet are still waiting indefinitely to be un-banned again.

It should look like this on the zendesk site (just in case - status should be open)

I agree that players should not need to send in tickets and all that, but I guess they just don’t have a system in place for such a huge mess.

Usually, a person should have looked at any account before it would have gotten banned. They could have seen it wasn’t hacking but just the normal player playing normally.

Our guild was lucky that only I got hit. But we lost almost 170k trophies because of that.

They are supposedly also going to be restored but I guess since they’re still busy with unbanning that will take some time.

Our guild leader was 1st. He has been un-banned already more than 24 hours ago. I was 2nd shortly after him. And some more have been banned later with nobody being un-banned again except for him.

We lost 500.000ish trophies so far and lots of other stuff from all the events. Plus everything we could have claimed/farmed/achieved since last Friday morning.
