Ick I don’t want to see that. Im vip 12 and have spent too much money as well. But one thing is for sure-i will never buy a pvp pass again if silver marks are in it. Count on that devs. And its unlikely I will buy any other packs
I asked Gemini out of interest and that is my estimates spending. I remember buying a couple of burning marks packs when we got 500 vip points so its not that much but im kind of sad ive spent such a large amount on a single game over the years!
I have not posted in here, as I have had nothing to share and no time to chase up anyone about this, amidst other issues and responsibilities at the moment.
Not responding to a thread is not a unspoken response. There are a heap of reasons, as explained in other threads and many times before, why I have not had a chance or not responded in a thread. Any further inappropriate comments will be deleted.
All chests have a range of high value rewards along with low value ones, in this case the Silver Marks are seen as the low value rewards.
It is feedback I have already shared with the team, but currently don’t have any response on if any changes are going to be made. I imagine they could possibly replace Silver Marks with something else of equal value or possibly swap them for a smaller amount of Gold Marks.. but those are not confirmed as possible or options in any way.
If anything was to change, then we would include that in the patch notes, but currently I don’t have anything to share about any changes.
There should be no near useless rewards from such a limited resource. Burning chests are far too scarce to have something as useless as silver marks in them. Jmho
Thanks for confirming. It’s nice finally hearing direct corroboration that even after working or paying for tightly-limited scarce rewards, a certain percentage of the time you’re SUPPOSED to walk away feeling disappointed, frustrated, and ripped off.
Thats what I always figured it was
The silver marks are meant to be a middle finger. Least we know now.
The game has a way of making premium currency eventually low value.
So perhaps the idea that anything from a premium chest can be rewarded with low value items is the real culprit. Silver Marks are just the latest symptom of an illness that has only gotten worse in time.
That being said, shiny chests do not give out anything but shiny related troops or dust. Just as burning marks should only give immortal souls. But that isn’t realistic with the play to win model. So gold marks and immortal souls should be the only award. Even icons are useless to a majority of the players.
Something that may be worth adding to this feedback: this kind of low rewards (on top of the RNG) is a main reason why my guildies (myself included) do not pay $$ to open more of these chests.

Exactly. Imo they would make more money if silver marks were removed. I know id by the pass every time.
As it is I don’t by it on principle because I realize Exactly why they are in there-and jeto confirmed it. They want something of “lower value” in there to dilute the pool and keep people spending out of frustration. That mindset is just part of gacha. But that should NOT apply to something as scarce as burning chests
Agree with all the above comments after Jeto’s response. Also thank you Jeto for responding, at least we know where we stand (and I’m not blaming you of course, at all). The problem is there should be no “low value” rewards from burning chests when burning marks are so rare, and you have to spend real money to get even more than a few here and there. Silver marks arent even low value, they are no value. I have at least 25000 of them with nothing of value to spend them on.
How about at least an exchange for gold marks in the soulforge? They still need to be removed from burning chests, but it would be a start.
It wasnt the answer we would have liked but a response so thank you very much for that. Premium content which costs real money should not have such trash in it. This will not change anytime soon nor will my decision to not spend money on it. If things change then maybe. Have a great day all
Please don’t do this as the exchange rate will suck (just look at similar exchanges in the Soulforge now). That’s simply a middle finger 2x. Just remove them from the burning chests.
I’m appalled that it took me to swear at you and lose my temper for you to actually respond.
It’s a HUGE middle finger to the person tagging you; if they see you are active on the forum, locking posts, changing tags and even replying to inane posts but blatantly ignoring simple questions.
My advice is dont do a single thing on the forum until you’ve responded to all mentions.
Even if its a “I see you” “never gonna happen” “ no idea” SOMETHING.
I KNOW its often not in your hands. However your treatment of hot topics and difficult questions have of late left many on this forum wanting.
You do sooo much good, dont undo it by ignoring thevery users who are engaging and passionate because alot of those (we may be a small percentage) are on the brink of leaving.
Silver marks are “infinitely farm-able” if you’re willing to put in the time and effort. Even at some lopsided exchange rate, anything you could trade them for would also be “infinitely farm-able” in theory.
The developers appear to want particular resources to not be “infinitely farm-able”; any currency they place in that basket wouldn’t be something they’d permit you to trade Silver Marks for. Also, there’s little history of them allowing the trades of “old resources” for “new resources”. It’s likely a deliberate choice to keep introducing new currency as to keep the player base chasing that new goal without allowing them to build up necessary numbers ahead of time.
If you aren’t going to spend actual money on their game, they probably deem having you spend lots of time playing the game as the next best thing. Because at least you’re not playing somebody else’s game with that time.
So where exactly are infinitely farmable gold marks they mentioned as the swap?
Silver marks might be infinitely farmable, but our playtime isn’t infinite. I’d rather spend time fighting in blood frenzy or in easy regions than chasing silver marks. This doesn’t mean I’m not disappointed when silver marks come out of a burning chest, but that’s part of life.
I should clarify, I don’t think that the exchange of silver marks for gold marks would be the answer. they still should be removed from burning chests. I only mention that to help us with all of the silver marks that we have been piling up. I fully expect the exchange rate would be terrible.
The majority of my free burning chests have been silver and gold marks this season. Not even icons. You keep it up devs. My wallet will remain closed and I was vip 12 meaning I was a “buy every pass” kinda guy.
@Jeto that is what the devs’ “there needs to be things of lower value” in burning chests gets them. Closed wallets. Former spenders
I get the slimy gacha practice of having worthless things in the pool to dilute the rewards. Thats part of gambling which is what gacha is…but as others have said burning chests are too rare to include a worthless reward. Take them out or you will never get another cent out of me and I think many are the same
I refused to buy dragonite until they added a way to make the dragon you wanted, now I spend gems on it regularly. If there’s a chance I get something worthless, or nothing at all, I’m not spending anything. And getting another copy of a dragon you already have (thus giving just some souls) is worthless, as is getting silver marks or icons instead of immortal souls.
I know gacha is based on the idea of getting crap so you chase that high of finally finding gold, but many of us don’t fall for that. Maybe the whales do, and that’s why they don’t care that we refuse to spend, but only they know that. All I know is I have no interest in wasting my currency (real-world or in-game) when I might get nothing for it.
