[Investigating] Accidental slowdowns

What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened:
I am playing on 4x animation speed. And now and then after killing an enemy the game suddenly slowing down to like 1x and stays this way until death animation (mostly floating souls and damage numbers) ends.

How often does this happen? When did it begin happening?
It started to happen quite long ago, but before the last patch it always was the end of the battle (so sometimes it adds several obsolete seconds to it). Maybe once per twenty battles. At this weekend, right after patch was released, it happened in random battle moments, not tied to the end of the fight, and quite often - like every fifth battle or so. And right now it’s quite diminished - I don’t think I seen it last day or two.

Steps to make it happen again

  • Set animation to 4x.
  • Kill the enemy.
  • Watch the slowdown to 1x occasionally.

I’ve always thought this to be a feature in the game, getting those slow motion kills, I actually like them :joy:
