How are people liking this week's GW so far?

It’s very unusal for a company to leave critical bugs unaddressed for months, especially when they make their most prominent game mode essentially unplayable. Apparently the game has been mostly abandoned on development side and is close to being shut down entirely.

This response is by no means meant to target you (or anyone else); I just think it’s interesting how often the game’s imminent death is mentioned over the years. Just for kicks, I decided to search “game is dying” and see what came up. The forum search is a bit janky, but here are some examples I found over the years.

2025:

If this was intended, I seriously think either their management was out their mind or the game is going to die soon.

Happens regularly to us. Unfortunately the game is dying and we lose good players and friends faster than bugs appear on the game.

Does anyone even bother to see how many people are actually playing the game? The guild events? And is any thought at all put into that when deciding with zero transparency how these gimmicky points are decided?

If Gems of War is dying. Is anyone willing to work to save it?

It has never been harder than it is currently to recruit players. This may be a signal that Gems of War is slowly dying. It has lasted a long time so I would not be surprised.

At this point, I can only conclude that the studio is tired of their product, and is just waiting for it to die out on its own. So pretty soon, if this road continues, I will hang up my account and help them get what they want.

Seriously though, just wanted to remind people how far this game has fallen and how pretty much everything they say is propaganda to get you to keep spending while it dies.

Once pq3 is available on all platforms, this game dies for real.

The game is slowly dying and the banning of existing players is only going to make it worse.

I got tired of searching past this point I’m not implying your points are invalid or that your concerns are unreasonable, just that the game continues to survive after years of ups and downs, and that the recent overhaul of GW - love it or hate it - does not seem to indicate a dying game.
