We faced some difficult DEF but nothing that could not go down by turn 2 or 3 if you know what you are doing.

I do not know if this is positive or negative feedback. I used to see folks complaining that it took years to fight a B1 guild. Well that is no longer an issue I do not think. I hope they having fun in B1lol.

I have to say I already had a feeling guild wars would immediately crater if it followed the new pvp rework paradigm of having to attack with either race or kingdom restrictions. Sad to say that prediction was spot on.

My guild just lost a day basically because their defense map had vastly better and more cohesive troop restrictions. Their keep was purple, had Fey (lep with several good attack troops), Elementals (mistralus and maraji queen among plenty of other good troops), mystics (beetrix), elves (spider throne, weaver), and I faced 3x Takshaka too (why is this allowed?).

My guild’s defense board (brown) has Urska (bad), Orc (really bad), Giant (bad), Dwarf (has an empowered but nothing worth powering up), Beast (mediocre), Monster (mediocre), Daemon (bad), and Goblin (good). If the brown board is always this bad then RNG is going to decide guild wars every time because almost all of those paths are as free as free wins can get.

And we’re attacking with Broken Spire? Very mildly cohesive troops but still weak overall. If we have to attack with random kingdom troops every time this is going to be equally as painful as doing journey with a kneecapped journey troop and bad support troops (like the last 5 or so journey events have been). This is going to result in some REALLY bad and miserable guild wars in the future when you have to attack with even less cohesive kingdoms. And almost all of the other kingdoms are less cohesive troopwise than Broken Spire. So this guarantees bad times ahead.

Also, why can’t I see what teams my guildmates are setting as defenses? I have some new people that joined and I don’t know if they’re setting up troll defenses on behalf of other guilds who want to hurt us or not. Weird choice.

Why is there no basic scoreboard where everyone can see what everyone else scored? I mean you can’t even see the basics of who played and who didn’t play. Leaves your guild open to trolling and sabotage if you’re not maintaining a full 30 people. Someone from a competing guild could (potentially) join your guild and setup purposefully easy to beat defenses and then not even play their matches every day and you’d never know it.

I hate to always be Mr Negativity but this event is completely doomed if this doesn’t end up (at a minimum) as a color attack and some kind of combination of better troops for defending. Possibly 2 races per node, mix and match instead of just one. For attacking you could alternate which colors you can attack with for each location, or have the color that a location can be attacked with be predetermined at the same time as the races are chosen to defend it with. Like it or not, attacking with a kingdom restriction is going to make for a miserable experience and will likely kill off the rest of your community who has been holding on so long for guild wars to come back.

I hope you make sweeping changes to this before the next event. People have waited a long time for this and I haven’t seen anybody with much other than negative to say about it.

For easy wins, you can already do gate x5. Not saying I don’t like your proposal per se, just pointing out it need to come with severe score penalty that make its score comparable to gate x5 method. And we need individual score board badly, to spot whoever in the guild taking such lazy way.

Fully support. Another benefit is we will be able to craft missing weapons from that kingdom on demand.

About disallowing duplicates, well, I had made that proposal some months ago, ( Disallow duplicated mythic / legendary troops in a team ), and it was badly received. Glad to see I’m not alone.

Guild Wars Rewards:

Daily Rewards: For the amount of effort/stress/reliance on teamwork.. is it worth it? It has gold marks, but does it feel like that does enough heavy lifting to feel rewarding? The Silver marks and the gold doesn’t really mean anything.

Some guilds can win all 4 days and walk with barely over 1 book worth of gold marks? That might just lead to some people tanking on purpose on the Gate fight to guarantee 5 wins for the personal reward track..

Feels like its missing something more like some Dragonite? More Gold Marks? 1 Set of gnome verses? A random deed book?

Free Personal Rewards: Seems like a decent amount of stuff for personal wins. 10 Burning Marks once per Guild Wars doesn’t feel like it means much. That’s before people spend that 10 Burning Marks and get Silver Marks anyways! :laughing:

Needs more Burning Marks so it doesn’t amount to just 1 chest pull.

Paid Personal Rewards: You can get “up to” a lot of value for $5. Major Orb of Glory, 30 Burning Marks and more other stuff etc.

I think the Burning Mark isn’t enough here though. There’s only enough Burning Marks to do 1 Epic Burning Chests. That doesn’t feel like a great investment and if Burning Marks are the only thing you need, then this Paid Pass doesn’t feel like it hits the mark. But what about the Shiny upgrade? 
 Well
 if its used on a Legendary troop people don’t care about, then it means nothing.

The player has been conditioned to dredge through the Underspire for badly balanced Sentinel drop rates. Major Orb of Glory has lost some value since we’ve had years to do Underspire bosses at this point, especially to the people paying for Lanterns (the same people buying these Guild Wars passes).

Needs more Burning Marks. I feel obligated to say throw in a random Underspire Sentinel as a reward.

Guild Wide Weekly Rewards: Doesn’t exist? Doesn’t inspire teamwork


If the reward loop doesn’t feel good then a lot of the rest of the experience starts to fall apart.

Most of the value of the new reward system comes from getting a legendary troop more shiny levels (a lot like how reward tracks for guild events are set up), but it doesn’t feel like all of the stress and coordination is worth it. And you have to win the day to get daily rewards, and sometimes, guilds are not evenly matched.

I don’t know why silver marks and gold are included when those rewards can be gotten so easily. Burning marks and gems should be included with that in all honesty because our guild over on Switch had to go through a lot of effort to beat one of the top guilds
for 45 gold marks? That’s almost as much as getting gold marks from citadel battles and regions that we won in pvp from the previous day


My proposed rewards for daily victories in guild wars should be as follows:
Base Reward:
20 gold marks (up to 120 with morale)
10 burning marks (up to 60 with morale)
50 gems (up to 250 with morale)

These would make it much more rewarding and addresses an issue that you failed to ignore–some people relied on the gem reward from the old guild wars to help them contribute to guild events. This would help try to solve that issue because I don’t know how to fix the match-making system to make it more balanced.

I give it a 1 out of 10. I really wish players were in the design room for this. It’s really mind blowing how it was implemented and what was left out that was a staple of the prior game. When you ranked ideas, it looks like the bottom on the list was chosen and not the top. I can see out guild opting out. That was never considered in the old mode.

Quelle dĂ©ception ,une mode de jeu sans indications , sans bataille entre joueur de la mĂȘme guilde pour la place de parangon , sans retour sur nos dĂ©fenses , une restriction trop lourde pour faire une Ă©quipe correcte , des rĂ©compenses ridicules , imaginez 20 victoires 0 dĂ©faites et on gagne des jetons , mais de qui se moque t’on , toutes vous mises Ă  jours sont dĂ©plorables , le pvp rĂ©pĂ©titif ,le boss de raid , les tours , les tower doom , rien ne va plus , et je ne parle pas des dragons , j’en ai mal aux fesses de pondre des oeufs pour avoir une carte , et de + en + chĂšre
diamantina , 500 dragonites/Ɠufs , stellarix 550/Ɠufs et maintenant 600/Ɠufs pour le dernier , et on gagne 30 dragonites dans l’event de semaine non mais vous plaisantez
je termine la semaine et je quitte ce jeu qui est devenu ininteressant et cela aprés 10 ans
je ne vous dis pas merci mais essayer d’ĂȘtre compĂ©tent cela changera

I do hope they’ll implement colour-restricted and troop type-restricted attacks, as promised.

Not eager to use Divinion Fields or Grosh’Nak attacks VS troop-type based defences.

The reforged GW has kept the thing that was interesting to us during the original GWs: the necessity to show your mastery against the pure random. That’s how GWs in B1 have always been.

I’m really sorry for the low-ranked guilds who had negative experience oVS us, B1 veterans. But it was enevitable, as the current ratings is based on trophies. But i do hope, that after the ratings are set based on GW results, everyone will be fairly matched with equal opponents.

This is not normal. We have exactly the SAME OPPONENT as on day 1! (Templo de Vampiros).

Another issue is that the win screen after reset shows the wrong opponent. Yesterday we beat La Armada, but we get win screens telling us we beat Friendship is Magic or Happy Raelians.
And on Sunday, we were notified that we beat our own guild the previous day!!!

By the way, I don’t know why people are complaining about Broken Spire troops. You can build some great teams that beat those OP 22k PVP teams.

Problem Feedback:
It’s so frustrating that we’re facing the same opponent three times in a row and losing all three times. I’m in the guild “Marshal,” the rank 2 guild. We’ve been matched against the rank 1 guild, “Sons of Anarchy,” every single day. This doesn’t make any sense. One or two big losses should indicate that we’re not a fair match for them.

And we can’t do anything — we can’t change our layout or switch members. Keeping the same matchups over and over is just a waste of time. Why are rank 1 and rank 2 tied up while rank 3, which has the same morale bonus, doesn’t get a chance to challenge rank 1? Even rank 4 or 5 should have a shot.

It’s so boring fighting the same guild repeatedly. Not to mention, we’ve lost every time and gained zero rewards throughout the entire event. All our guild members participate and are well prepared — we shouldn’t walk away with nothing. It’s just not fair.

We want different opponents.

There should be a warning message when you battle a keep again which you already defeated. It’s easy to make a mistake as graphics are not very clear to show where you are on the path.

Something like, “are you sure you want to battle this keep again?”

So when does the leaderboard go live to see how good we are actually doing and is it supposed to just show the same thing since day 1?

As mentioned by others already. Kingdom restrictions do not work because your game is horribly balanced.
A player should NOT be able to make a better defense than a player can make an offense. But because you have vastly different restrictions for both sides you get an unbalanced unfunt event.

Nothing about Guild Wars 3.0 is fun. Complete and utter failure.

I’m glad my guild won on the first day and we got the achievement. Cause the new GW is a god awful mess that isn’t fun at all to play. Why is it that every single time the devs redo a mode they make it infinitely worse.

Its like you are actively trying to anger the playerbase to make them quit.

I hope that going forward our guild leader decides to opt out of GW like we do with Journey.

Zero points gained in a loss is also a slap in the face that unfortunately was not a shock due to this event being clearly designed by AI. No human could of made this horrible of decisions consistently and it explains the novel worth of text explaining the event.

@Sirrian you used to love Gems of War. It was shown in every update you did to the game. Now it looks like it only retains your name and nothing else about your vision. Reminiscent of Marvel Puzzle Quest.

Would be nice if on the shield of the maps, we can at least see 2 numbers, like 4/7 whereas 4 is the number of wins and 7 is the amount of total battles had at that building - for both our defense map and daily offense maps.

One issue that almost every one of my guild members brings up is that they have no insight into which of their defensive teams were attacked and whether they won or lost.

However, this information is important for improving and optimizing their defensive teams for future guild wars! :+1:
