At this point the fix should be to fire the new company and go back to the one who actually did their job.
This “3rd party company” makes Infinity Plus 2 and 505 Games look horrible for the fact you would put up with this.

Yeah, Android notifications have been unreliable to the point of being useless since the 8.2 update: sporadic, often late, very often missing altogether. It would be nice to hear if there’s any progress on this.

Still no update on this? It’s been a month and it’s super annoying, including missing out on tributes and pet rescues. Definitely noticed my progress slowed in the last month since this became a problem. One month for a third-party to fix the issue is insane (especially when it wasn’t broken before!). An update please?

So good news and not so good news!
The technical issues blocking getting these fixed have been removed so the fixes are being worked on currently and it’s looking good!
The not so good news:
This is a big job, so unfortunately we won’t start seeing these fixes roll out until early next year.
We’re going to do our best to fix all notification types in January, however, there is the possibility it could take longer so expect the more generic “early next year”.
We’re very sorry about this rough transition and how long it’s taking to get the notifications fixed.

Thank you for the update, but as someone who relies on the notifications for gem collections the reality of it is brutal news. With notifications I collect 250-300 gems a day. Without them less than 100. So it’s very likely going to cost me thousands of gems.

Those who played before notifications are more apt than those who started playing after I assume.
Still it feels like a weird design choice to celebrate 10 years of existing and then revert back to the same features as in 10 years ago.
As in no notifications and no guild wars. All excuses aside. It is a choice that the notifications aren’t working. This is not something that takes months to fix unless the least amount of funds are being used to fix it.
If Burning chests are worth hundreds of dollars then surely not having to rely on third party apps to communicate pet rescues should be priceless.

Same here. I think im 5000 gems down from normal at this point. Maybe even more.

It’s more the fact that as a casual player I’m not thinking about this game 24/7. I don’t have the ability at work to set an alarm/reminder to go off every hour. I do however pickup my phone for calls, texts, authentications, etc throughout the day. Having that little notification at the top reminds me to collect gems. And as a casual player, that’s my main source of gems. So yeah it’s rough news to hear that it’s about a month away. It’s not going to stop me from playing in my free time because I enjoy the game but it’s still disappointing.

Can console players please also get a notification from the game every hour? For 8-10 years we never had that and therefore we’re majorly handicapped compared to mobile gamers …

We do, or rather did have it as broken along with the rest of the platforms. Menu button, alert tab, select enable alerts and enter your email (although that just gives a cliffy error at the moment.)

Very frustrating vault weekend yet again. Missed out on a ton of pet rescues I’m sure because I am not glued to the game 24/7 and constantly checking manually. Android users are seriously getting shafted, between missing out on pet notifications as well as the still-missing Tribute notifications.

Possible work around for Android notifications. If you fight a battle it should trigger the next notification.
Three months is a long time to restore notifications about tributes and animal rescues. They are still not there. There is also no information about when they will be restored. You should give us double the amount of tribute for the entire period for which there were no notifications as compensation. There should also be more pet gnomes. I know, you are still waiting for the topic to quiet down forever.
