Global Mail Exploit (Banpocalypse šŸ”„)

Gifts sent by the server - I get. What is cheat? If you want to pick up the gifts back - take away. Why ban?

100% of those who did it, should get punished for it.
If just one of them was ā€œoverlookedā€, this is not justice, and it would really be hypocritical.

I hope that @Kafka and @Cyrup know this.

The rules should apply to anyone and everyone just the same!

Please read the entry post. The ban wasn’t issued for collecting gems, the ban was issued for collecting gems and spending them in a way that could not be reverted. The ban was applied to all perpetrators that did this, in other words 100%.

Technically, it’s not a cheat, but abuse of an exploit. Still, you could say that you obtained unlawful advantage because of it. There’s no need to deny it. It could also be categorized as cheating in a way, indirectly.

This is a developer bug. The developers did not bother to check the elementary action. For the player, the gifts look fine with the new update. Make a mistake - fix it.

Developers are just humans, like everyone else, not superheroes or omniscient entities.

Made my day.

If you do not intend to send the server - roll back the transaction.

So who’s fault is this. The player’s or devs?

I understand what you are saying, but those who collected gem still used the exploit hoping the gems would remain…Therefore, they are every bit as guilty in my opinion…It is like stealing from a store, you give the item back but you still get prosecuted…Those who used the exploit regardless of spending the gems or not, should be given the same justice.

If I have been driving through the intersection along the main road all my life, and on some day I will see a sign that I am on a secondary road, then I will complete the new sign. So you have to do it by the rules. If I have never received letters with diamonds, then on the day when they come from the server, an authoritative source, I accept them. This is according to the rules. This is not a cheat. If the distribution is wrong - roll back the transaction. Ban is not fair.

They did it so. Those people were not banned. However, some people suspected that this could happen, and because of this, they spent all of their unlawfully obtained Gems to prevent it or make it harder, Gem Keys, VIP Chests, getting new troop cards, etc.

Of course, this makes it much harder and time consuming to revert all of the changes, because it mainly depends how evolved the Developers tools are and the code in the game itself.

Well, since you are replying to me, let’s look at this a little more in detail.

  • How many times did you collect your mail between being busy?
  • How many gems did you receive that way in total?
  • What did you find time to spend those gems on?

It’s pretty straightforward.

Developers made a mistake. But it’s not their fault that players started abusing this.

I don’t know how many times - I was busy
I think I received 1,000
I had started the day with my own 500+ gems because I spend my own money on the game
I bought armor before I realized what was truly happening
I think it’s also pertinent for you to know that I had received all my rewards and benefits of my paid subscriptions so when I purchased the armor I thought I was spending what I had paid for or earned in game play

I recently received a salary that I received. It turned out that a mistake was made and I was overpaid. I returned the extra. Should I have been jailed?

No. You did the right thing. But, you did quite the opposite in the game.
If I may ask. How much extra Gems did you get? 50, 500, 1000+?

If the bank writes you a letter: ā€œAccept $ 100 as a gift,ā€ then I will accept them. Or should they put me in jail?

What i am saying is you cannot treat perpetrators of the same crime differently…To use you bank vault as an example ā€œsix of us robbed the bank, but i did not spend anythingā€ā€¦Does that mean i will be free from prosecution…Lol

There’s no damage in collecting those gems. There’s also no damage in hoping they would remain. There’s likely not even any malicious intent involved, just curiosity. They aren’t stealing from the store, they are still within the store, safeguarding the items until the shop owner wants them back. Once you start consuming the items things play out differently.
