I think you guys are all awesome for sharing your unique life interests, itās always nice to hear others that are into their own worlds.
I am not a fury, but one part I do relate to, I love, love, love! to fantasy role play with others. Any chance I get to go to a costume party or to role play on a date I enjoy immensely.
So it is nice to see others enjoy other fantasy activities.

Day 100 still waiting for nex (who posted in this thread multiple times) and sirrian (because reasons) to tell us of their fursona if they have them. I think sirrian is a dog knight not sure bout nex though, hardly know him enough to impose a furry type on him.

This thread has been pretty awesome to look through. I didnāt even know furry was this big a sub-culture. First time hearing about it. So I donāt know if I am a āfurry.ā My fascination with wolves comes from being one with nature. I like to run, sometimes from things I shouldnāt. I have a deep connection with wolves that I canāt explain. Iāve always felt they are my spirit animal. To me they represent everything I am and stand for. I hold loyalty above all things. Never captured, always free to roam. I love everything wolf related. If I were in a anime show I would most certainly be a wolf. Sorry if this isnāt really on topic with the thread, but I was invited here. Killer Iām looking at you friend.

This is on topic you are fine, your nature as a wolf is admirable, have you drawn any pictures yet or made a fanfic of some description. There are different scales of furry from quadrupeds to bipedal and any measure in between. Your animal spirit coincides with native american culture.
I stumbled in here out of curiosity. Very interesting thread. And once more I cannot help but admire the maturity of this community. There are VERY FEW online forums I know of that would handle a topic like furries without a myriad of insults and sexual drivel.
Iām not sure when I will stop being amazed by this treasure of open-minded people I have discovered online. But hopefully not anytime soon!!! 
To address the OP topic:
I am not a furry myself, but am an Otaku, granted a waning one, now that I have a wife and kids. And its not a culture my wife is very open tooā¦ Otaku, not furry. But I am aware of the community and support it. I have learned a great deal more than I knew before, so thanks for that, too!

You will find that dressing up like an animal is quite an old custom as described above. My spirit animal, i do not know what it is just that i might have many forms. Might have to do a fast or something to really get a grasp on it but my furry form is multiple. Cat, dog, skeletal-mouse thing.

Oh yes very old custom. Egyptians to Native Americans. I would like to have a wolf headdress without it being a real wolf of course. We are connected to Earth and that means animals. Either way I want to thank you for starting this thread, as itās very important for people to express themselves. Thank you also for inviting me here Killerman.

I surely didnāt expect to see this topic here. 
But, itās cool to see. I visit a 3D RP environment/game called SL that has a large furry community as well as some other groups. My usual persona there is as a neko girl, but I have had full on feline avatars as well.

I RP too! In FFXIV, as a miqoāte. So I guess Iām sort of a neko girl too. I try to keep my RP persona separate from my real one, though. I intentionally give her traits that run counter to expectations (sheās rude, crude, and pretty dumb!).
