Enter into this dungeon if you are Furry or otherwise are interested in them

That’s what I play in FFXIV too! As well as Khajit in Elder Scroll game. While I’m not a furry, I prefer playing visually interesting races than standard human ones.

As the op i approve of this topic as still on topic. You may carry on about these other races you play.

I play a Khajit in ESO as well. I also play a Raksha in GoW. There seems to be a theme. :smirk_cat:

Love it, nice partial. Kinda looks like tracer squirrel.

This thread escaped my attention when I was lurking here.

I shall contribute.

I’ve been a furry for a long time. For me, it was seeing the re-release of Disney’s Robin Hood in theaters. This was circa 1983 and this was when a movie would have a poster-like advertisement in the newspaper. When I went to see the movie, I fell in love. I carefully cut out the little poster of Robin Hood from the newspaper for the next few weeks as it ran in the theater. I had almost 25 of them and would carry a picture of Robin Hood with me for most of the 5th grade.

When I was approaching graduating High School in the late 80s, I started getting into BBSes and early access to the internet via the local college having a free dial up in their library. I didn’t discover furry as a ‘fandom’ right away, but found other people who were making me feel not so weird for not wanting to talk about having sex with super models as much as wanting to discuss sex with monsters from Dungeons and Dragons. Both of which are fantasies but somehow I was weirder for liking the Monster Manual over Playboy.

It wasn’t until I found “FurryMUCK” in the early 90s that I found what was then ground zero for the tiny online furry subculture. So anyway, I’m now in my 40s, I haven’t been to a convention since my late 20s and I never owned a fursuit but found the creativity and artwork to be something I’ve followed over the years.

I came to Gems of War because it had positive reviews and “furry” options for player races. I came because Monster Match died, and that was my favorite match 3 up until I started this one. This is so much better than Monster Match in so many ways and I’m so glad I found a interesting community and guild as well here.

Thanks for starting this thread @killerman3333 and thanks for being so open with your life @Tacet.

As for my “fursona”, I don’t actually have one, believe it or not. I never had any ‘spiritual connection’ with one kind of animal, nor have I had any one particular leaning in the animal kingdom as I’m just as happy petting lizards and birds as I am cats and dogs. Therefore, I was someone who had multiple characters that filled a ‘mood’ for me. If I was playful, I’d be an otter, if I was trolling for sex, a bunny, if I wanted to talk to smart people, I’d be a dragon, etc. I had a go-to character named ‘Wombat McClain’ on FurryMUCK that is still there though I only wake him up once every year or so just to make sure he doesn’t get swept out of the db. Wombat was a wombat, of course. I have no pictures that would be suitable for this board.

Here and in the game, since I felt like this was a ‘dragony’ game, I chose “Ssaszix” (sah-ZIX) because that sounded like a dragony name for a dragony game.

It is not unusual for furries to have multiple fursona. There are people in the fandom who do not even realize they had made fursona. No matter how old or young or of any race all are welcome to the fandom. Some fursona are in name only like my rat-thing. Though it literally has no name other than rat-thing but that is more of a description. Spiritual connection is not a requirement to making or sticking to one fursona. To me you have two fursona, Wombat MCclain and Ssaszox, they are named and who knows they might have a design you have never found yet. Not all dogs are loyal and not all owls are wise, so why should you stick to only one fursona with one design. I like your story and appreciate it. I think we all do.

I never thought I’d see anyone dressing up as Squirrel Girl. :smile_cat: I’ve always been curious of how many people have even seen the comic.
