Coming soon to a console near you! (Weekly Event: Khaziel)

Not sure if this is friendly or threatening!

Lol i think i will pass

Btw i finished to trait gorgotha now i need another 10 arcane for famine or mah i don’t remember

Well, this is my “Guess @Mr.Strange’s Troop Release Order” list for as far off as I can imagine based on what was likely installed. Anyone can give their own list as well if they wish. Even the man himself, if he wishes to marvel at how close we came to reality, or laugh at how far off we are, or if he wishes to add his own predictions (which then becomes a real mind game as to whether we think he’s bluffing or not.)

Included are the reasons as well. In order, the next event troops most likely will be:

Ifrit (Drifting Sands). The kingdom will be released and this is the Event Troop for it.
Ghiralee (Adana). They still only have 7 troops right now. This brings them to 8.
Mercy (Whitehelm). One of the older troops that still hasn’t been released (ignoring Imps) plus Whitehelm hasn’t been visited since Celestasia’s 2nd time around.

Now things get a little more tricky as do I base things on balance more or age of last kingdom update? Sticking more with balance would likely see either
Wild Fang (Wild Plains) or Sea Troll (Darkstone). Again, both are stuck with 7 troops currently.
Venbarak (Blighted Lands). The kingdom is released and this is the Event Troop for it.

After that, things would open wide up as many choices would seem equally likely.

If we were going with age of last kingdom update, you’re more likely to see either
Runesmith (Khaziel) or Valor (Sword’s Edge). Neither kingdom has had an update in a long while.
Continued with Venbarak (Blighted Lands) for the same as above and then again, things open up widely.

Now, if I were making the list, I would probably go in order of something like this:
Ifrit / Drifting Sands (like above)
Ghiralee (Adana) (like above)
Valor (Sword’s Edge) - Get in a newer troop here.
Mercy (Whitehelm) - Delayed her a week to help put off the Maw/Mercy tandem a little longer
Venbarak (Blighted Lands) - New kingdom a month later
Bunni’Nog and Faunessa (Pan’s Vale) - Enough time has passed so it doesn’t feel like we were just here. Two troops to begin closing the gap with the PC/Mobile version and Faunessa’s traitstones can help trait up the Infernal King from the previous week.
Nobend Brothers (Zaejin) - Again, a newer one for now.
Wyvern (Grosh-Nak) - To bring the kingdom up to 8 troops.
Maritlith / Naga Queen / Marsh Raptor (Mist of Scales) - Yes, let’s go to 10. This way we won’t have to worry about Mist of Scales for a long time.
Yeti (Glacial Peaks) - New month, new kingdom.

So yes, my predictions are similar to how I would do it. But I think the predictions make sense just as I tried to balance things on how I’d do it between older troops and filling out kingdoms. I know I skipped the imps, and would not be surprised if they are begun to work their way in there (yes, I’m putting this in as my disclaimer in case they do show.)

Anyone else have any thoughts? Well, heck, I know people have them. More like anyone else feel like typing them up?

If we go with mastermind-style scoring, your total is low - just 2 weeks correctly predicted, out of 10.

But please enjoy the Gob-Chomper this week while you can! A wonderful & versatile troop. I think of Gobby as the benchmark for properly designed troops - interesting, thematic, strong, but not without shortcomings.

This is where I’m not sure being wrong is a good thing or not.

Though I feel mostly certain that Drifting Sands / Ifrit Will be next week’s event. Would really be nice to see Blighted Lands unlocked with it. That would change a lot of things. Otherwise Ghiralee the week after seems the safest even if I feel no particular interest in the troop. But hey, can start restocking Glory after this week’s mass buy.

So how many others were right but in the wrong order? Mastermind does give as well.

I’d like to play!

  1. Drifting Sands and Ifrit
  2. Faunessa
  3. Ghiralee
  4. Marsh Raptor
  5. Mercy
  6. Blighted Lands and Venbarak
  7. Wyvern
  8. Naga Queen and Marilith
  9. Wild Fang
  10. Rakshanin

Lets play “what’s up doc?” the game of guessing what is coming up next on GoW for xbox/ps4!

Yup he said 2/10 so wich one is good?

He can’t officially say most likely, at least not without some approval if I were to guess since I obviously don’t know the corporate structure over there.

I don’t if this was mentioned and I missed it, but I noticed some greyed-out troops just now when I checked to see if anything had been added to the troop list with “Show All”.

The greyed-out troops are: Marilith, Naga Queen, Nobend Brothers and Sacrificial Priest.

Post 240 mentioned them but nothing wrong with bringing them up again.

Sorry - can’t give out actually useful info. Best to leave it here!

Then here’s hoping to being wrong in the best way where both kingdoms get unlocked at the same time like they were on PC, imps claw out if the chests so we can trait our hero classes, Pan’s Vale and Mist of Scales get all their troops in one event week, and whatever unexpected surprise you have that’ll make us go wow.

@Mr.Strange

Mastermind me!

Or is that giving out useful information?

It could be… let’s just say that your accuracy is 1 lower than the previous low of 2…

Looks like Drifting Sands is next week then as it’s the only one we matched…

Not that anyone really went out on a limb with that as a guess.

It’s a fallacy to think that the matching item is the one correct in both list…

Rofl. Well played and completely true.

Doesn’t discount that Drifting Sands will be here Monday, but yes, doesn’t confirm either.

Be great to see data for the percentage of matches on pc that feature gob chomper.

  1. PvP 2.0
  2. Maw
  3. War
  4. Mercy and Mab
  5. Return of daily tasks
  6. Remaining apocalypse troops
  7. Infernal king
  8. Remaining few dozen junk troops
