New Campaign Begins A brand new Campaign begins today. Investigate the whispers of the deep that are causing the oceans of Krystara to be unsettled. New Heroic Gem: Submerge Gem During this Campaign, we have a new Heroic Gem that players may encounter in puzzle battles – the Submerge Gem. Submerge Gems are Blue Gems…
One fish, Two fish, Red fish, Blue fish.
Oh wait, I’m thinking of something completely different.
No Books on the free side? / 3 Deed Books for the entire campaign?
Is this like a weird Tariff joke I’m not getting?
Wait, they silently removed the only useful and highly bottlenecked resource F2P could hope to get out of campaigns? For real?
Couple years ago I called some campaign’s reward the worst. Now I have to get my words back and apply here.
Not just the worst f2p campaing pass. Also worst possible special gem
I was trying to joke about it, but not including free deed books is just disrespectful business practice. I hope it’s just a mistake, but until we get an official response it’s just not going to sit well with the player base.
They said that they were going to rework campaign passes, but if this is what they had in mind…that’s really discouraging. They have closed studio dates during April, so we might have to wait awhile to hear back.
Which official response? The past years, their usual response to ninja-dropping something hugely unpopular was to:
- First entirely disappear for a few weeks.
- Then act surprised, pretending nothing at all has changed, until proven beyond doubt.
- Then claim it was actually done based on some ancient community request in the old forum, which nobody has access to any longer.
- Then slap a “working as intended” on it and avoid any future threads that look like they might be related to the topic.
So, who out there posted anything about wanting to have Treasure Maps instead of Books as campaign rewards a couple of years ago? Anybody?
Wow, just wow
hey, paper is paper!
First campaign pass I won’t buy since starting to play.
I do not understand the move unless they want to stop earning money
Lmao on adding epic ingots
I don’t really get it either. They’ve removed anything remotely interesting for end gamers, books, imperial deeds, writs, cursed runes, jewels. From the free pass as well as the paid pass. And they filled the freed up slots with junk only interesting for brand new accounts, most prominently minor/major traitstones.
Has this list been auto-generated by some AI trained with Explore battle rewards only? Why wasn’t the price tag on the paid pass cut at least in half to compensate?
If this was intended, I seriously think either their management was out their mind or the game is going to die soon.
I was just referencing a very vague response on reducing the amount of daily grind for the game, but I hope the reduced rewards are just an oversight. Removing 3 deed books on the free side is not acceptable. Period. If it was a mistake, fix it. If not, well, I’m at a loss for words.
@Jeto, If this is how campaign passes will be in the future, you give people more of an incentive to uninstall the game and quit.
Well, that would definitely be a novel approach.
“Hey, we heard that there are way too many things in the game that feel like they need to be done every day. Good news, we’ve nerfed the rewards into the ground while leaving everything else untouched, most prominently the participation fee. Please let us know if you still find our game to require too much daily effort, we should be able to get our Loading Screen from Hell ready by Vault Weekend this Friday.”
Rewards suck, mythic sucks, pet sucks, the rewards paid and free side frankly suck. Only positive i can take from this campaign is that you saved me money on buying it. Cheers
I agree with you. The rewards are pathetic.
They need to add great stuff instead of removing.
The amazing part, there’s no information or anything to let anyone know that it’s changed.
Why?!
Because the changes were absolute trash and they didn’t want to look at the inevitable moaning on here is my guess
