New Mythic Troop: Gargantaur

As Gar’Nok has proven, Orcs can become strangely obsessed - sometimes romantically - with things far beyond their reach. One such tale involved an Orcish Chieftainess named Dar’Lekka.

Ordinarily, there is somewhat of a rusty-iron ceiling for female Orcish warriors. To say that Orcish War-Councils are a bit of an “old boyz club” is akin to saying that well-worn Orcish underpants are a little bit whiffy. Dar’Lekka, however, was bigger, smarter, faster, and stronger than any other clan chieftain, so it wasn’t long before she found herself in command of a horde large enough to commit some serious pillaging in more civilized lands.

And this is where Dar’Lekka made a small mistake. Given the choice of fighting weak skinny Elves, weak skinny Naga, or huge hulking Daemons, she chose the latter because it seemed like a challenge more befitting her stature. Traditionally, Orcish invasions into the Blighted Lands have never gone well, but Dar’Lekka was faring better than most, when unfortunately she caught sight of her first Incubus…

[Insert piece of raunchy Orc x Daemon fan-fiction here]

Six months later, Gargantaur was born, half-Orc, half-Daemon.

From the age of 6 months he seemed to have an insatiable appetite for murder, having killed 3 of his mother’s house-Goblins by wielding her 4th house-Goblin as a blunt weapon. And he GREW… quickly and incessantly, so much so, that by the age of 5 Dar’Lekka sent him north to the Forest of Thorns, where he could indulge his passion amongst the Elves and Beasts of the woods.

Unfortunately, after that, Gargantaur seemed to vanish for a time, having last been seen, twice his previous size, punching Dragons up near Dragon’s Claw. But now he’s back, twice as large again, and ready for slaughter - friends or foes, it doesn’t matter to Gargantaur!

Please note this Troop is currently available on PC, Mobile, PS4 and XBox One.

cool story… bro?

hope to pull it!

On Xbox One, the text on the 3rd trait says Gain 2 Attack and Magic when I take damage.

The image above says Gain 8 Attack and Magic when I take damage.

Which is it supposed to be?

The image above is based on the lastest data. Sounds like a text file hasn’t updated correctly.

thanks for the quick reply!

Can we all take a moment to appreciate the legendary flavour text @Sirrian wrote?

Now can we get a troop that poisons allies?

Why not use Gar’Nok instead?

Gargantaur is Impervious :stuck_out_tongue:

I was thinking traiting it up to its ability, but forgot its needed ability is on last trait. xD

Almost… it’s missing the snippet about the Orc x Daemon.

Also, does the Gargantaur have a proper name?

No spell damage buff, Impervious still there (so no poison possible)…

He looks like a real niche troop if we have to use Gar’Nok for his 3rd trait (required to do “mythic” damage)…
And players were complaining about Scorpius being too situational  .

DTNU: drop it, trait it, never use it.

With aoe he’d be probably worthy of the class ‘mythic’. As he is he’s probably a legendary class troop. Hopefully he’ll get a ketras style buff.

Now that they turned Gargantaur into a Red/Purple/Brown, I can see why they wouldn’t want AoE on it. (Elemaugrim is R/P/Br)

Instead… I wish he was more tanky on top of its stat buffs. Gargantaur is more flimsy to skulls than the little Bulette. shrug

The Green-to-Brown is surely so GGT can take the Brown creates with Gar’Nok.

I’m not trying for him - still 100% broke from not-getting Skadi and 1000% wanting Voice of Orpheus, so I’ll keep saving my stuff. I can’t even say how good or bad Gargantaur is - his trait is massive, but he can be skulled for full damage and is single-target. But eh, heck, not every mythic can and should be superawesome, it’s important to keep some variety.

I am also very sad that fanfiction part was omitted from the description!

I got him after about 250 gem keys with 50 vip in between. I’m out of arcane beast now. Need one more to finish traiting him. After pulling ketras on Monday my arcane beast stash has dropped to nothing!

??? He’s not Green anymore… Bug?
