so to be extra precise, if let’s say in 9.1 I have a kingdom maxed, which only requires 39 fully trait-ed troops to reach, but I have actually more than 39 trait-ed (say, 40). Under the 9.2 system, my kingdom task for that track will only start from the one after 39 trait-ed troops?
ie. the first task I will face in = 39 troops at level 20? And not any “further”
but what about track 2?
under 9.1 system, you need to fully upgrade 14 weapons, but only require to collect 5 kingdom pets and have 4 of them at level 20. whereas the new system:
Why are changing something that absolutely no-one wanted you to change, instead of working on all the things that players who know the game well have been clamouring for, for years?!
I just don’t understand why you care so little for your players and the continuation of your game!!!
Off the top of my head, the only good change you’ve made in the last two years is the Astral Spire. Everything else either made things worse or needs significant work to get it working properly.
so i have two questions one is a little off topic. Firstly is the any future plans to add more crystara kingdoms and the off topic question is after the next set of dragon eggs (i presume there will be to cover dragons in the remaining kingdoms that are still without a dwagon) will there be more dragon eggs??
As i read - you’ll get XP for a tasks you’ve allready complete - so the next 2 tasks with 40 troops maxed and traited would be automatically completed, and 600 xp gained.
And if you meet requirements for other 2 level of tasks (on any of 3 tracks) you’ll have a green arrow near your kingdom and get a automatic Prestige upgrade if your GP is enough
I assume they checked this. My guess would be as long as the item fills the same role in the game and has an equal or greater value, it’s allowed. Crystals are replacing writs and deeds, so they will fill the same roles, and it looks like the new rewards are higher value. So, probably allowed.
No, they are not comparable — not even close. Two books were worth 3200 XP, and they replaced them with just one Rainbow Crystal, which is only worth 600 XP.
Having 32 kingdoms at power level 30, and the others nearly at their max level, I started to get superfluous books so I’m happy I can continue upgrading my kingdoms. I saw someone complaining about pets in the new system, but since the orb of minions it’s easy to mythic them. Mine all are anyway (except the immortal ones).
This! Exactly in the same position as you. But I am also now grateful that I most likely won’t have to farm gold marks anymore. It has not been fun for me, but did it for the books. But I will check into PvP to hunt the pet gnomes, my guilds loves pet.
Kinda ironically, you’ll still probably want to farm gold marks for Shiny Keys from those Shiny requirements. Going off the top of my head, it actually takes longer to unlock the access to buy Shiny Keys in a new season.
Like many of you reading this, I farmed Gold Marks pretty aggressively (for a totally F2P) for the sake of the Books of Deeds. I’m still going to farm at the same rate, because honestly doing those handful of battles every day isn’t particularly onerous (IMO). But I’m going to use those Gold Marks to purchase the seasonal Mythic from the PvP shop instead of waiting forever and a Wednesday for it to come around in the Soulforge. (And then to have to spend the other resources to craft it there.)
Any leftover Gold Marks after that, something I ought to have if from no other source than from my guild’s success in Guild Wars? I might buy Dragonite if I haven’t gotten Pandemonia by then. Otherwise I’ll start buying Shiny Keys because there’s actually a tangible benefit to making troops shiny now whereas there really wasn’t before. (Most troops with shiny levels aren’t worth using in any circumstance.)
It still sucks that there’s no way to explicitly target shiny tokens for a particular troop or even just one particular kingdom at a time, but maybe the developers will fix that sometime around version 16.4.
If I understad it correctly I can now use my Rainbow Crystals to upgrade the magic kingdoms, and not be depended on the purple kingdom crystals and so on rising the magic kingdoms to the skill point level.
If so, that is a win at least for me, that was struggling finding purple books in general for the 3 or so Magic kingdoms I have yet to get the extra magic skill point from.
I read about 100 comments, thanks everyone that took place. I am now drained, and wont read 100 more.. lol
I have not come to the part if Soulforge will have new offerings of the new resources as everything Deeds and whatever will get removed. But I assume for now there wont be any of the new resources there. Hope it is planned for the future, some crafting possibilities of them.
Ref. Value of Gold Marks in 9.2
Can’t help but wonder if the Citadel Sigils Purchase$ will be affected, and therefore whether the design team has thought this through when they decided that:
The issue here is you’re comparing the converted value of the 2 books in the new system, rather than their actual value now in the current system. The developers are actually being very generous in the conversion of deed books.
In the current system, 2 books will get you from level 15->16, or halfway from 16->17, and less than halfway at higher levels. The Rainbow Crystal gives more than half enough xp to gain a level at high prestige, so a Rainbow crystal is pretty much worth more than 2 books now. It’s only because the conversion of the books to 16 crystals each is so generous, that they work out better after conversion.
It’s for this reason I think complaining about the imbalance between the level/power->prestige conversion (which is fair IMO) compared with the books->crystals conversion (which is generous) is tantamount to complaining that the book conversion is too generous. Jeto seems to be saying this stuff is set now, so won’t be changed before 9.2, but if changes were still on the cards, I’d worry that complaining about the imbalance would backfire, and get the book conversion nerfed.
I’m satisfied that my maxed kingdoms will convert to prestige 50 (seems very reasonable for level 20 / power 30 to convert to prestige 50). I’m not going to fret that other players who held off on upgrading now get more xp from books than me. I’m just grateful the book conversion is so generous and I’m not going to look a gift horse in the mouth.
That’s quite convincing. The developers have consistently added more ways to obtain Books of Deeds across all these patches for blancing. I’m glad with the new system. But I’m frustrated with the conversion, since I unfortunately happened to spend all the books I had been hoarding for years just a few days before the patch was posted.
