He just enjoys the company.
I faced a Zuulā Goth with three Evil Tomes, quite a reading he was having there.
Good luck and take care
A quick read through all this makes it sound like Iām missing so much
Youāre better off in Iceland or wherever youāve got to. Sanās doing your raids and spending plenty of gems in the process.
and the weather is better here too, whoād have thought of it being possible
I think the RAID content is for the end gamers like a few have alluded to. This content is a gem sink and itās aimed squarely at the level 1,000 players that have been here playing for a year or more that have 10ās of thousands or even 100ās of thousands of gems. Iām certain this is the target, they want to get those gem hoards diminished and this is a vehicle to do it (for some others like Tacet arenāt taking the bait though).
This content is not designed for the casuals or players that havenāt been playing for a very long time that do not have a vast amount of gems saved up. Honestly if I had all the resources of a player that has 50k gems or more Iād go to the final tier in the RAID every single timeā¦why not. What are they saving the gems for there is nothing for these people to buy or attain anymore other than the monthly mythic troop which usually is just 50 to 100 VIP chests which is a small portion of their gem wealth.
The rewards suck for everyone though and need to be buffed for all players though regardless of whether you are spending gems or not that is 100% fact. For time invested and rewards given this makes treasure hunt look fantastic again lol.
Cheers

I can tell you why not. Because your luck can run out and just two or three bad weeks getting a mythic or event-only legend can obliterate a gem stash. Iāve seen it happen to plenty of guildmates. And, this was before all the myriad new gem sinks arrived. Anyone that is unwise enough to max out tiers in the raid, invasion and/or bounty shops, will soon find that they donāt have gems any longer. Then, theyāll have to just skip tiers or pull out their wallet.
Itās what 1,400 to max out the RAID tiers and some folks have over 100k gems that would be some extraordinary bad luck to run low on that hoard of gems to get a single mythic (the worst Iāve ever had is I spent over 8k gems to get a single mythic which wiped me out but that is a fraction of what some people have and to have that kind of luck month after month seems unlikely).
The other thing is Sirrian basically said this was a pay to win for end game players for the leader board portion so at that point i was good with things (other than the crappy rewards for time spent for all players - I get itās end game content but if you want all players to do it give the new guys some reason beyond itās new to do so)
Cheers
Many are missing the point. They only see what they want to see like the guy that ādoesnāt seeā this is a money grab. Sure you donāt have to use or buy gems but that doesnāt stop it from happening. Thus a money grab from poor lil innocent children that will steal their parents credit cards to get those lovely gems so they can have their name in lights on the leaderboard. lol Think of all the spankings and goundings that will come out of this.
Donāt be mad at me because I save my resources and the rating on this game is teen, so children shouldnāt be playing it.
If this is the case they need to spend more money on advertising and/or offer better incentives to streamers. Weāre lucky Tacet is holding down the video content for this game, and it wouldnāt hurt to have some more promoters out there.
Thank-You for a much needed dose of humour.
Well, I am a late game player but have always spent my gems so I was only sitting on less than 2k when the week started. I went to Tier 3 but will stop at Tier 2 next time.
I consider myself fortunate to be in a decently ranked (60) casual guild. A nice mix of early, mid and late game players who donāt take anything too seriously.
Want to spend your gems on Raid, go for it. Want to save them for Mythic release, thatās fine too.
My perception is that those with the most resources, those buckets of gems earned in the pressure cooker of bracket 1 GW, cry the loudest.
Why all the angst?
Itās a game people, have fun.
My 2cents, which is probably all its worth
My accident ends here, finally out of sigils. I gave up on waiting on my ticket and the devs refunding me. Letās hope no one else buys anymore packs so I can get my refund this way.
Do you know how many battles did you do? And how many Valraven did you meet?
Iām going to keep proper track next Raid in 3 weeks, but I can tell you this from buying Tier VII this week (and almost buying it twice - my sympathies @Santandrix): Valravens keep coming at a regular pace, even if you lose battles and stay at the same boss level for a while, which is inevitable as you get up to boss level 300 and above.
I seen quite a few valravens and I was kinda glad they flew away because I just wanted to be done, and win. maybe 100 to start with and earned 20. Just a guess, I wasnāt taking notes.
By the end the challenge was getting pretty fun, I just ignored the lousy rewards.
I agree. The period of grind before you hit the real challenge is a bit long, which means that those only buying Tier III or less arenāt going to get to the really interesting part, where you lose a lot and good play is rewarded.
That said, those really high levels would be more difficult if you didnāt have a Mythic Xiong Mao.
At the end I started losing more bc it was so ridiculous, but killing the boss was all that mattered.
It would be nice to know my record, like in pvp. So 2o valravens slayed is 40 extra fights plus the daily ones you get. I think I did 150 so far at least.
