Hey. Sorry to hear you’re having these issues - but this thread is for new ideas for the game, not support. May I suggest you paste your issues into a new thread in the support category - and hope that @505GamesSupport will pick it up - or contact them directly through their website.
In that case, another item for my wishlist is for 505 Games to look at their website once in a while.
I get it, console players not welcome. Never mind.
That’s not what I said at all.
All are welcome, I was hoping to help you post your request where it could be seen by the people who can actually help.
This is taken care of in 1.7
One of the problems is that since the consoles are a version behind, it’s hard to know what gets fixed in 1.7 and what is a console-only problem. For instance, the speed issue seems to be a console thing, as most people thought there was a speed problem when 1.7 came out initially (it had been set to some high number accidently and was set back). The Knight Coronet thing could be fixed in 1.7, if it was a problem in 1.6
So it’s hard to know…
Is there not a hover text (or console equivalent) that tells you the name when you select the banner? I play on mobile, so I’m not sure what your layout is like, but we had labels on our banners, at least when you selected them. If not, and you still find it confusing, we’d be happy to help you sort them out, though I’d recommend making a new thread for it for convenience’s sake.
Another thing to implement maybe is some sort of daily and weekly tasks?
Many options there like:
-win x battles with dire wolf in your team (@Jainus )
-win a game(or x games) using only undead troops (or any kind really)
-win a game using only troops of certain kingdom
-win a game with your hero in your team
Etc.
This will make even more reasons to create variable teams (especially if we need to use a certain troop). Yes problem may occur if someone doesn’t have that troop but that could be fixed by making daily quests randomly generate a troop you need to play with based on troops a player has on receiving a quest.
I know this concept from other games and honestly I do not like it at all when the game tells me what troops to use.
Some activity based rewards could be nice though. Like the “Win 60 defense battles” we currently have (just in a cooler fashion ).
We’ll not only troops, but any kind of quest, like win x games, donate x gold to guild, gain a level etc. Just to have more different things to do. And I wouldn’t mind getting a gem or 2 maybe for making a team that can win a number of battles that has dire wolf included, it would be a nice challenge to make a team. Maybe a condition could be to win with that troop still alive. Plenty of stuff they could make a daily quest around.
These are very similar to the task concept the console has. I actually think it would be kind of nice to see that concept ported to the mobile / pc version. Though I will say they need some cleaning up. They don’t work reliably currently (those are just bugs that can be worked out however) and the sample pool is small enough you can get really lucky and loop a few to get rewards really not comensurate to the “challenge”.
There does seems to be the concept of daily / weekly / character growth tasks there. For example, I had up on my console account when I logged in: Change your armor (daily slot), Win 10 battles(weekly slot), Train 25 troops (weekly slot), and Get lvl 10 in a mastery (character growth slot). When I completed the change your armor task I got a do 3 challenges in Pan’s Vale, followed by change your armor, followed by Kill 5 troops with your hero’s weapon. Completing the train 25 troops (I hadn’t done the lvl 2 bit on everyone yet so yay!) gave me Win 10 invades. So when I note daily / weekly I am more referring to the period before that task changes automatically, there are always four tasks active at any time. The daily slot seems to refresh each day at the same time gold is rewarded. Weekly ones change with the event reset, and the character growth ones don’t ever change until completed.

Didn’t know that there are those type of quests on console. Even more a reason to implement it on pc/mobile too
Would need to make sure ‘train x troops’ doesn’t show up for those of us who can’t any more.
Yeah, I am not sure how the tasks are going to respond to top-end players. That particular one doesn’t seem to be in the character development section so most likely it is simply random. However I have also not had it tell me to unlock a city I already had, or do challenges in a non-unlocked city. So possibly they have already coded around that. Just not enough information to say for sure from my side as I am only playing extremely casually on the console. My real account is on the Mobile / PC version.

agreed with originalDW about the menus for starters, please make the card menu vertical with tabs of each kingdom that you can max/minimize the contents of, thats much more oversight. Also the speed of gem drops having been upped makes it indeed hard to see what the heck is happening in its dropping process, another concern of mine personally is that sometimes the enemy gets extra turns while they dont even take out more than 3 gems, ive had this happen to me many times and my younger brother who individually also plays this game has aswell. One last thing: Could there please be a change to challenges being so costly… why does it cost 50 gold and give back only 20… even when you completed one… please change this… let it cost something like 15 and give back 20 or something so there atleast is a freaking reason to replay challenges. Thanks!.
Now that I think about it, kingdoms’ story quests shouldn’t cost anything either. I mean, before, I thought it was just too much, but now I realize it should cost literally nothing. I just did the Darkstone one yesterday and it literally cost me 700~ gold to finish it - and I have Dragon Armor. For a newer player with no armor and no income to speak of, this takes days to deal with - particularly if they haven’t felt confident enough to step up to PVPing yet.
I realize this is attached to something that costs a ton more gold just to unlock and therefore would be unreachable to people with low income, but it still doesn’t feel right.
Bad flow for that part of the game. Ideally players should just zoom through those. New players should have no trouble with money.
I agree with this. I also think the main writer should be repeatable for fun and so you can see the story again.
I actually disagree on that point. The main point of quests is that they increase said kingdom’s income, which means a lot more than 700 gold in the long run. We can’t have everything for free. But I do agree about the ability to repeat quests, I don’t remember most of the storylines.
I just remember - waaaay back - when I literally had to stop playing to wait for gold to come. That’s not great for player retention.
I believe that’s sort of the point when starting out. Early game feels a bit like a mobile game and the energy charging mechanism. But because you’ve only just begun and have a story to wade your way through, there’s a feeling of discovery being made. “What happens next in the story? What will the next story be like? What new creatures will I earn/unpack/fight?”
It lags you a bit because it encourages players to spend RL money early on to make quick work of the initial early game. The meat of the game comes in around Level 30-35 (may have changed slightly after 1.0.7, but still), and rewards those that stick with it. Those who don’t have the patience or encouragement to play the early game, likely won’t find the meat of the game all that impressive.
Simply put, if someone doesn’t find the beginning interesting enough to wait through or spend on, they’ll likely just quit later on anyways. No one who truly enjoys the game should be too put off by a little patience.
That’s completely fair - and I know I was more in the ‘what happens next’ boat - but if they want more people to stick around, making it easier to blaze through might help. Letting people continue playing longer before quitting is PROBABLY more commercially viable than weeding out impatient people.
We now have some impressively large gold sinks in leveling up our kingdoms, plus buying them, plus there’s more of them than on release and the further ones cost more to buy, and so on. Kingdoms have already impacted on guilds fairly heavily. Let alone whatever comes with 1.0.8.
Also, people who get to level 100~ and start being matched with people who have maxed out some kingdoms get annoyed at how imposingly long that would take (from their perspective).
Could be a nice way to earn another copy of the Epic from the storyline, since we will be needing a lot of them to upgrade to Legendary.
