All troops can be used in Invade or Defense, so I don’t understand what do you mean by “defensive troops”.
I use Famine and Khorvash in some of my GW teams, if you want to say that I asked nerf only for troops that I don’t use.
It’s difficult to know if a troop is OP/useless/standard just by reading his description (best example Sunbird). So yes, I can have an opinion only on the troops that I use in Invade or that I fight against. And no, I don’t spend hours to check and test if every troops are balanced or not.
I am the one who wants the game to be easier… I have spent months shouting against nerfs because of a brilliant reverse psychology strategy. You guys found me out congratulations
Now if you will excuse me i have no desire to continue this discussion… I will just stand back and watch as the soft club screams and cries until this game is nerfed into the toilet
After all why should i give a shit… Its not like anything i say matters
You open a whole thread asking for the Princess to be returned to her easy button glory. Accompanied with you even changing your avatar to her picture.
In all fairness, i also think the player base affects outcome.
If everyone uses a troop, it’s abusive nature becomes apparent, and more likely to be nerfed.
Kerberos got a lot of hate for Devour 50%. But you know, there is an imp out there with a 50% chance of transformation (an effect you have no protection against!) …
But no one use it. I bet you suddenly find THAT meta team to fit him in and people would cringe.
I’ve been following this thread and have some stuff to say about balance, but for the time being:
Please stop conflating “difficulty” with the likelihood to be put in an unwinnable situation regardless of your actions. A true increase in difficulty means raising the skill floor or skill ceiling, not increasing the upper limits on which any random event can affect the ultimate outcome of a match. More unavoidable losses != needing more overall focus or needing better decisions to consistently win. In my opinion, the game has never been easier, not just due to engine changes but power creep in general.
The players have less agency, it’s not anymore a question of ‘hard’ or ‘easy’ but of ‘lucky’ and ‘unlucky’. Cards that once would have been very hard to beat now can be defeated by cascading-looping. Cards that would have been a nuisance, now are some kind of unstoppable Juggernaut.
This being said, poor Fizzy is no kind of juggernaut, even with her Stealth trait in place. Her team - does anyone remember troops fight in teams - can be silenced, freezed, stunned, whatever.
May I point out that defense teams have ASAP put a Mab with their Fizzies? Gee, I wonder why. Why oh why.
The princess has no attack power whatsoever per se. But instead of opening thread such as “Any counter against Fizzybang teams?” people goes straight for “KILL HER WITH FIRE! LIKE, NOW!” Which says nothing about the card and a lot about the kind of playing trending in the game, at the moment.
Huh… I find it quite interesting that my post should be flagged… Why? People call me a crybaby and nobody says shit. I do it and it is an affront to humanity.
And everyone says there isnt different sets of rules for different people.
But i will take it down so as to not hurt anyones widdwe feewings
Nobody said here that an OP troop is unbeatable… To resume, she’s too strong compared to other similar troops (even by considering the base rarity).
I put Fizzbang in my Soul generator team and I was winning as fast as my fast PVP team because she can fill all your team and gain an extra turn. With the nerf, I cannot do that anymore and this team lost a lot of efficiency.
Devs didn’t nerf this troop just because of us. We just warn them about this troop and they should have test it and saw how powerful she was and so on, nerf her. But they surely didn’t nerf her without a self-“okay she’s OP”.
Considering the base rarity, she’s a powerful ally. As a card per se, it’s an explorer with benefits. Benefits that in those cascading days aren’t so unique IMHO, and
I think we, as players, should have accepted the challenge before clamoring for nerf.
That she’s overpowered IMHO has little to do with being an Epic; she would have been disruptive of the game even as a Legendary or a Mythic.
But why release two overpowered cards only to nerf them? Is there a reason that doesn’t involve the devs being asleep at the helm?
(I’d like to have a fast soulfarming team, though. Mine is s.l.o.w.)
I’m not a big fan of the “Mythic > Common” strict rule. I was hoping that the Acension will balance that and Common could be used as powerful (wrt the mana required) than Mythic: Mythic would have been heavy troops (high mana cost + more powerful) and Common light ones (less powerful but small mana). And that not being a strict rule so that we can get some exceptions.
But 2 issues:
the lore: Mythic should be the most powerful troops because Gard is a god avatar and Peasant… a peasant so troops should stay where they are born… But honestly who cares about the lore when you can put 4xFenrir or 4xsame any named troops in one team?
the mana income by turn was significantly increase since last patches. Mana surge on 4+match, cascade and also high chance of mana surge make possible a 24 mana troop being filled in 1 turn…
Huge mistake. Players like her because of the “easy button” effect and so, thye could be only upset asap you take back the easy button.
(Pharos is great if you have it. 2 is better. And his best partner is surely Dark Troll .
So I added Fizz and her Mommy and I could do very fast battles… But with the nerf, not that much .)

But a lowly Wraith can steal Gard’s Mana or life, or DeathMark him. Which is some kind of morality tale, I suppose.

No Pharos. I had a neat Dark Troll looping team (thank you, Forum!) with added Keeper of Souls fow maximum soulage. And now it’s dead in the water. Back to soul gathering with a Dragon team…
Back to Fizz, She of the Prophetic Name, I think there was a challenge too many players refused to answer to.
looks like “good old times” where you could allow enemy to have 2 turns and not get completely wiped out
and now its getting to the point enemy is more often doing it with just 1 turn too
(sorry consoles i know you had it with 1 turn for a very long time but im talking from a pc perspective)
