Deathknight arrmor - seriously best buy you can do in this game. I have it since a week ago. Haven’t regretted it for even a second
I’m in Guild of Gra which is in the 93th place last time I’ve checked. When I joined a week and a half ago, we were 106th so we’re steadily making our way up : ) I know higher up guilds get more tasks done daily and such but I’m really happy for now in this guild. I feel it suits my pace and I grow right along with it. Feels great. The leader is heavily active and online dally from what I’ve seen. He’s also level 800+ something, highest level in the guild. The minimum requirement now is 50k and 50 trophies per week, but I try to go above that of course, as do other guild members. It is nice that besides contributing we can focus on kingdom leveling too. If we all keep growing like that together, are in it for the long run, and all get to the same amount of contributing our leader does, I think we can get really far.
I only have Forest of Thorns on level 10 but I’m saving up now to get Zhul’kari there too (only 2 levels to go!)
Where stars are concerned I’m not very far yet. A grey star for Zaejin so far and that’s it. It’s very close to the first gold star however so that’s something at least. I’ve saved up 15000 souls though so once I finally decide what troops to spend those on, I’ll be a bit further with that too.

I don’t know what troops you have to spend the 15k souls on but keep reading the forums and watch some Tacit’s videos. You will keep seeing the same troops mentioned again and again, upgrade those.

much appreciated! I used Valkrie in the arena last night which was me using her for the first time and I see now why everyone praises her so much
I got to around 300 on ps4 with nearly all mythic troops but migrated over to pc/mobile very recently for a lot of different reason. Currently approaching 200 on pc/mobile. Low level pvp was totally different this time around. Very interesting.

No problem, as you are new to Gems of War I’ll dig up the dead horse just to beat it again…
Put Valkyrie on your team and if possible NEVER remove her until late game. For example if you had Valkyrie in your lineup this entire time you would have at least 120,000+ souls now instead of only 15k.
Valkyrie is such a dramatic absolute game changer in terms of Souls the developers should make it impossible for new players to remove her from the line up. 
Or they could, y’know, fix the situation. (I hear there’s a solution in the works that won’t make Valkyrie so essential…)
When you say ‘hear’ do you mean youve gone through the code? You cant be saying things like that, me and Valkyrie are going steady at this stage

I’ve read those same Dev forum comments in the past too, just my indirect hint to any of the Devs in case they read this and have forgotten about the Soul issue… .
PS: I am looking forward to seeing what they have settled on to address this.
