Ok, first and foremost as a proud Yankee, born in Queens, NYC:
There is nothing better than a Sabrete, dirty-water dog, smothered in those āspecialā onions. What is that BBQ sauce?
But as a transplanted TEXAN, got here when I was 3, you just canāt beat a Chili-Cheese Dog w / a dash ofā¦ wait for itā¦ MAYONNAISE!!

I was appalled the first time I saw a friend try this, I was in college. This is not a North Texas thing, he was from Arizona, donāt know if that is where it a regional matter of fact, but he encouraged me to try it and Iāll be damned if the mayonnaise doesnāt make the chili creamier and kind of makes the whole thing smoother.
It was life-changningā¦

I donāt give a flying crap what any food expert declares about ketchup and hotdogs. I love a simple grilled hotdog on a toasted bun with ketchup and an itsy bitsy amount of mustard. Otherwise, my other guilty hotdog pleasure is chili cheese dogs.
