Had the same thought.
Was it part of the current update to change game speed, colours and aspect ratio? Or was it a side effect?

Apparently GoW on Xbox received a huge patch that nobody knows anything about. Side effects seem to include altered settings and visuals.
That sucks. I can be sooo picky with colors and gfx on pc. Hopefully gets fixed soon.

if you mean most settings were erased, the colors are bad, and the game is slow - then yes, Xbox got wrecked this week

On one hand, I’m glad to be wrong and I’m hoping they’re taking their time making sure the next update is bug free and polished.
On the other hand, this Xbox update in early February that I came back to… I don’t love my game settings being destroyed.

8.4 released on March 18, 2025 (32 days later than expected). This was a complete overhaul of Guild Wars, likely contributing to the longer development time.
8.5 is expected to release around May 20, 2025.

8.6 is expected to release around July 22, 2025.

8.6 (sort of) released today, earlier than intended by IP2. It was a small update and released 28 days earlier than expected by the tracker.
8.7 is expected to release around August 25, 2025, though it may be earlier as it will also be a small update.

8.7 is in theory releasing this Wednesday AEST.. just waiting to get the patch notes from the team to try and share in advance.

8.7 released today, a whopping 41 days earlier than expected! At least, that’s what the math said - Jeto let us know that this would be a quicker update.
8.8 is expected by the spreadsheet on September 11, 2025, but realistically the update will be sometime in August, also per Jeto. Assuming this is the case, 8.6, 8.7, and 8.8 will each have been released in approximately half the time that previous updates averaged.
Very curious about why this might be and this trend it will continue in the future or return to less frequent updates. Perhaps Jeto will shed some light?
