If I am not mistaken it was stated that the pet is obtainable through gold chest at upcoming event reset, so at Monday’s reset. But I agree, it should have been obtainable right after the patch was released.
The Testing Defenses is a welcome addition (or actually restoration). But, after using it a little, I think it needs some changes:
The Battleground selected should be remembered until you change it.
The Enemy Troops side should allow you to enter ANYTHING. Currently, you may only add troops you own. I have codes for teams that use troops or quantity that I don’t own, but would like to test my troops againt.
Hi Jeto, it’s a real problem that you’ve removed the ability to skip the animation by spamming the button, you’ve broken this exploration mode and ruined future Vault weekends. There are hardly any players left doing Vault weekends as it is we’re a very active, highly ranked guild, yet I notice that only 4 or 5 players still run the Vault. What’s left for an endgame player to do? Once you’ve finished your daily tasks, there’s PvP, but that lost most of its appeal after the changes to Kingdom progression, between daily PvP and Guild Wars, you earn more than enough Gold Marks for Shiny Keys, so there’s no need to fight for a spot on the global leaderboard. That leaves only the exploration mode which you’ve broken. On top of that, you’ve introduced a new bug, we’re forced to watch the animation because if by mistake or bad luck we press the button too quickly, the animation freezes. When we reach the boss, the game locks up, forcing a restart. Frankly, this isn’t good enough. Please look into removing these animations; otherwise, the game will become so boring that we’ll end up moving on to something else. Best regards.
P.S. Now that you’ve worked on quality-of-life improvements for version 9.4 which was a great update, do you plan to address the matchmaking system in 9.5? It isn’t working properly at all; we’re in the global top 20, yet like many other guilds that have already spoken up on this forum we constantly have to face top-5 teams. It’s become untenable; my players are tired of getting crushed by these elite squads. One last thing: we didn’t see the “7 Dragon Candy” dragons in this update, even though you mentioned in a previous message that you’d included their image in the banner as a nod to them. Do you know why their release was pushed back to a future update? Thanks.
@Jeto I am just bumping this, so that it is easier for you to find and report it.
This also happens on Switch, and other platforms. Explore is very sensitive now, and if we press any buttons while watching the dots travel across the screen, the game can easily lock-up once you return to the screen where you select the difficulty.
Here is what Explore is now:
Okay. Let’s watch some dots after selecting the difficulty.
Now, let’s wait again for another loading screen.
Now, let’s cancel the Genie for the 1 millionth time.
Now, let’s wait for the dots again.
Oh, here is another loading screen that we have to wait for again.
If they think that is an enjoyable experience, I have nothing more to say. It was horrible before, and it is even worse now.
I honestly cannot tolerate it anymore, and I only log in for dailies, collecting things, and keeping up our reputation for Guild Wars. Everything else is ruined or a waste of my time.
if it was going to be released at the beginning of the update it’d be in the patch notes. it’ll release when they feel like it, probably something anniversary related
With absolute respect to you, personally, I find that hard to believe (though I do absolutely believe you that it’s what they’re communicating to you).
With regard to the animations specifically, I’m happily past the place where I care deeply about maximizing my game efficiency for the GaPs so you might think this wouldn’t bother me, but it does. Because waiting for the animations to finish is BORING.
That’s what it comes down to, for me. It’s just plain boring and that’s not what I want from my entertainment. It’s maybe not going to make me quit the game altogether but it dampens my enjoyment that much more and therefore also my enthusiasm. Because they’re boring me. And whatever they may say to the contrary, I do believe it’s intentional. Not out of malice, sure, but out of an arrogance that they know better than us what we will enjoy. “Animations make it more fun!” I can hear them saying. Well, it doesn’t make it more fun for me, and I seem not to be alone here.
well, I don’t want to be rude, but you are talking to TheIdleOne, which is a veteran and maybe you are a newer player, so maybe you don’t have all information - it is a new set of dragons, the artwork is already in the game
Just to be clear here, Jeto putting some image into some banner is at best a spoiler, possibly just a neat decoration. The release of the candy dragons hasn’t been pushed back, there would first have to be release plans at all. So far, we’ve received a new dragon set each year, if they stick to that schedule the next one isn’t due for several more updates.
Yeah, Halloween would make sense and maybe they’re trying to release them around that time, which would be nice. But they might also try to release them around Xmas, instead.
