The most of recent ones?..Basically all of them (from the very beginning) are complete rubbish.
Achievement hunters rejoice!
Am I missing something, though? Six different achievements for earning stars? Are three of those meant to be about “tasks,” not the stars-based reward track?
So Short hand, free people get shafted more, and still no banners we don’t have on the war coin store for 2 years
They are all just from earning Stars and not related to the new Campaign tasks.
As the original achievements were from completing tasks TO earn Stars, now they are just from earning Stars.
Thank you so much for fixing some xbox achievements huge w for us achievement hunters. Hate to be that guy but two achievements that are currently unobtainable are missing from that list. Any idea if Sentinel prime and this one time at warband camp will also be getting fixed this update?
I applaud the effort to reduce the time sinks… However right now Campaign is a pretty small time sink while the biggest time sink: PvP seasons…
With the old campaigns I could regularly finish them out in 1-3 days each week while doing daily delves, dungeon, adventure board, etc. It really didn’t require a dedicated effort.
PvP Seasons on the other hand require 180k VP if you want to finish the rewards track and only get to Promoted (150k for Legionary I) for the Season Goals. That breaks down to an average of 2,337 VP/day for the 77 days in a PVP Season. Today I did my monolith battles (5), my citadel wars (5) and my gold marks battles (10), and 2 other battles which earned me 1,471 VP. Since the monolith battles don’t give VPs that works out to 86.5 VP/battle. That means just to keep up with what’s required to finish the rewards track I need to do 27 battles per day, and that 12 battles/day more than what I would need to otherwise do to get other rewards. Over the course of the whole PVP Season Pass that’s 924 extra battles (actually that’s won battles as losses don’t grant VPs).
I think you should reduce the VP necessary for each of the 90 season pass milestones from 2k to 1k. People will finish the Season Pass earlier, which also means they might be more inclined to buy it because they’ll be able to get all the rewards.
And all of this is from the perspective of someone who plays daily and clears all the objectives every day. People who aren’t playing every day will make much less progress on the season pass making them even less likely to purchase it.
I do applaud making the valhawks easier to get because they used to require a lot of PvP grinding each day. If the PvP Season Pass would reduce its requirement I’d gladly grind PvP less and be more likely to pay for the season pass.
They were not fixed in this update, there are a couple of achievements still in the report just awaiting dev time and eyes to be fixed
The Sentinel one will be tied to an update where the Guild Keep Guardians get their next update, so it will remain unachievable until that update releases. Hoping around 8.8.
Thank you for the update i will pass that message along to a few of my friends who still need them.
Jeto i know you are just a go between or a mouth piece for the devs… but what is this update. There is a list longer than my children’s christmas list of problems to fix or features the player base want added. Yet IP2 insist on giving us updates or features we didn’t ask for or want. Please dont take this as a personal jab but it is at the higher ups. All IP2 seem interested in right now is extracting as much money from the player before the player or game dies.
Is the Ranks for the Memories achievement fixed now?
This actually looks very promising, much better than expected.
One issue, the quantity for jewel shards seems to be off, a lot. You need 500 jewel shards (and 100 souls) to even craft 10 jewels, which in turn you need several hundred of to craft a single weapon. 100 jewel shards won’t do anything at all, it’s like receiving a tenth of an experience point. Any chance this was supposed to be jewels and somehow got mixed up when setting up the rewards? That would still feel very low-end as silver reward, considering that we get 100 jewels for free each day from Dungeon, but at least it’s not entirely useless.
Thank you for extra campaign rewards.
Nice bonus books, hopefully some dragonite on there
What about the guardian double vp sigils. Tho.
Your not counting them into your battles.
You obviously do the guardians.
Btw, I do agree PvP is a daily play or lose rewards.
So it’s a bit to much.
Just your points are way off.
Certainly not true.
Aldric the Frostbound, Khronos, King of Ravens, King Stormgard, The Elder Dragon, The Onyx Giant, those are all campaign mythics, IIRC, and are decent to good level.
I didn’t realize that the Guardian battle gives double VPs, and I only counted 5 battles for the citadel wars, not 6. If those battles gives double VPs then I should count that as 7 battles total.
Then the math breaks down to 1471 VPs / 19 battles = 77.42 VP/battle. I must have done the math wrong yesterday because that still breaks down to an extra 12 battles per day on days you have citadel wars battles and 10 gold marks battles (ie Tuesday/Thursday/Friday/Saturday) and even more battles on other days which is at least 1000 extra battles over the course of 11 weeks. It’s also worth mentioning that I’m level 1757 meaning I don’t have the level 2000+ VP penalty that makes getting VPs take even more battles.
That’s a chunk of time every day/week/month, and I’ve gotten really close to just blowing off the season pass and not worrying about the higher rewards, and I feel like most people that aren’t going to finish through reward 90 on the pass are not going to even consider buying it.
I would like to see a lot better (more unique) ones.
As per your mentioned ones, they have the right to exist, unfortunately it is not enough. And if restrictions force you to use them once in the blue moon, well, they are still not good enough.
No mate you get double vp sigils.
It’s the same number of battles.
Have you played long, surely you know about the extra points sigs in PvP.
I probably sound like a broken record at this point, but I blew off PvP a while ago and stopped caring about chasing burning marks and Immortals. Some are useful but it’s going to a never ending chase to level them all up, and seemingly impossible for F2P to ever max them all.
Without a concrete obtainable goal, I don’t see a purpose in grinding PvP. I do what’s needed to maximize gold marks for books, because I make meaningful progress and can actually progress towards a (currently) fixed end goal. I’d rather spend my extra GoW time grinding medals in Explore.
That being said, if they lowered the requirements for season pass, I could see myself pushing to actually fit in some extra PvP battles.
Well thank you for fixing some of the old guild wars achievements, but why didn’t you fix the one called “Sentintel Prime” ? There were 3 guild wars achievements that were unobtainable for a year and a half. You have fixed 2 of them, but not all 3. I don’t understand why.
Also, please ask the devs to consider doing something about the Hoard Mimic achievement. A pity system or making it available in the Forge for a high price, something, anything. I have spent 400+ hours trying to get it and haven’t been able to.
Nevermind I see the Sentinel Prime achievement was addressed in an earlier comment. While disappointing we have to wait till 8.8 or later, at least we know it’s coming at some point.
As for the Hoard mimic achievement, please do something about it still. I cannot beg enough. Make it craftable at a cost of 5,000 gems + 10,000 diamonds + 10 million gold + 5,000 gold marks and whatever else you want to add. I don’t care. Just do something because theoretically with an estimated 1/1000 chance of getting it reach time, you could play for 100,000 hours and never see it. Please pass this feedback along to the devs. The card is old, it’s not good, and if it didn’t have an achievement tied to it, I couldn’t care less.
