Update 8.5 Patch Notes

Looking at guild activity boots us to a crash report. Just like last guild wars.

The “Taken To Task” trophy/achievement is not retroactive (?)

Why is the keep locked already? I thought we were able to change it last time after day 1.

I noticed this earlier with the Valraven sigils in the Journey event, coloured gemstones also seem affected.

Every time i log in I get about 10 error messages in a row about purchases or downloads. I also got 4 cliffy errors including while doing my Citadel battles. I also had to do 7 Citadel battles to be credited with 5 circles filling in. The sigils stayed the same as did the matches conpleted, but i had to do them again even without a cliffy error

Activity log crashing was an issue the last guild wars. It was reported but never fixed. I assumed it would have been sorted in the patch coming before the next war.

The new update keeps kicking me out when I’m offered a deal from the Genie. Deamon deals, angles, and merchant deals are working fine. Can you do anything about the Genie bugging out?

Extremely confused about this patch.

Last time out you said we were aware we missed things, that you didn’t realise we were such stat nerds and you were going to take onboard feedback to improve guild wars. Something along those lines without reading again. Seemed promising, as there are so many things wrong or missing that make guild wars a thing.

A wall might as well have wrote this patch.

Only thing of value is seeing defence teams.

Will there be in any guild logging of scoring or anything players can take from the wars for next time? Individual scoring overall, guild scoring overall, you know kind of useful information on how you did as a player and a team,

Is there a plan or is guild wars done for changes?

Following up on the Immortal on a pvp team and guild activity issues atm..

I cannot replicate my team clearing after making one..

  1. Open Game > PvP > Winters Reach
  2. Picked a location
  3. Made a team with Immortal Glaycia
  4. Left > came back > still there
  5. Left > collected tribute > came back > still there
  6. Left PvP map > came back > still there
  7. Played a battle in Winters Reach > exited > still there

Is there something different I am doing? We have been able to repro in the meantime, so the team are looking at why it’s still clearing.

Unfortunately, I didnt take any pics as I was trying to finish my Citadel matches before I left for work. In a side note a new bug appeared as I was trying to do my Summer Isle Gold Marks match this evening. At first, I could only choose the two immortals for troops and if i added one I had to play with just a weapon and 1 Immortal. I couldn’t add anything else. I restarted the game and that fixed it, BUT when I played against the computer they only had a weapon and 1 Immortal troop total. A two enemy team

Quit the game and start it again.

@Jeto Can you try the same steps outside of Winter’s Reach, like in Summer Isle or somewhere else as well?

I just put in a team in two different regions to test it and upon closing the game and restarting it, the teams vanished.

Just to let you know, the issue where “when you look at your defence team in guild war, the guild wars restrictions apply to all regions in PvP” is still there. As well as the activity log bug, it hasn’t been fixed either.

I’ll follow up on this one too but that is not a bug we have listed as fixed, it is ongoing.

OK, not sure what platform you’re testing on, but on mine (PS5), Winter’s Reach is Fey restriction, so Immortal Glaycia won’t get the team reset.
Is the immortal you’re using:
a) unapplicable to the region because it doesn’t meet the restrictions
b) home to that region, so it does double damage there
You probably already checked that, but just to be sure.

Just tested Immortal Ossifer and 3 random mechs, in Ancient Khet, which has a “Mech” restriction (on PS5). Team vanished after restarting the game.
Bug is definitely still there for me.

On Switch, when you set up a team with an immortal that does not have the same type as the restrictions for the pvp region, your team will be cleared as soon as you collect a tribute or exit and re-enter the game.

For example, there is a Giant restriction in Winter’s Reach, and I use Immortal Glaycia, who is a Fey on my team. Since the Immortal is not a giant, my team does not save.
