I’m still confused why Primal and Apocalypse even exist. Lore, maybe (I wouldn’t know)?
They’d eventually show up as part of the 4 mythic troops of the normal rotation. If there really is any interest in making them obtainable somewhat faster, add them to the exalted key pool. There’s only Death in there, which is likely a bug.
Give us what we truly need. Crossplay.
And what’s about we get rid of the Soulforge cycle?
Just let players be able to craft troops/weapons directly in the Collection all the time.
Just add a button Craft there when the troop is unowned:
There are so much Mythics troops now that it will take ages for any new players to get all of them. Yeah they will be able to target the best ones right away, so they will be able to be competitive sooner than later.
Craft button can be disabled during X months after release so they will stay exclusive and so there is still reason for players to pay to get them.
A post was split to a new topic: New PvP scoring bonuses
When you view a troop, you press LB (I’m on Xbox) to get to Level Up but everything else is accessed through pressing Y to get to the More Upgrades screen. Could we have this all in just one place, with Level Up just being part of the More Upgrades screen, and this being renamed to Upgrades?
I really can’t see the logic of why they are split like this!
Crossplay Xbox / Android would be great. I can play Gems on my phone remotely from my Xbox, but this would be even better.
U must be a new here ![]()
Agree with this, but might be a limit to how many tabs they can have at the top of the page. Seems to be limited to 6, and the upgrades menu already has 6. Also, this should be in a new topic, not commented here, so you might want to start a new topic to discuss it there.
The game needs this if it’s going to survive much longer.
I mean extremely popular FPS games and fighting games have figured out how to do this, but a simplistic match 3 game just can’t do it?
it’s not about not being able to do it.. it’s a limitation by the platforms.
PQ3 is crossplay on PC/mobile to XBOX and no crossplay to SONY.
Sounds good, as an Xbox player I look forward to merging with PC/mobile.
Again, that is PQ3 and not Gems of War.
Wow, if that isn’t passing the buck.
“Limitation by the platforms” hasn’t stopped games across the spectrum like No Man’s Sky, Witcher 3, Genshin Impact, Immortals: Fenyx Rising, and Kingdom: Two Crowns from enabling cross-progression/save migration; games like Among Us, Power Rangers: BftG, Worms Rumble, Minecraft, Overcooked: AYCE, and Sea of Thieves from allowing cross-platform lobbies; or games like Fortnite, Diablo 4, Civilization 7, Dead by Daylight, and Destiny 2 from doing both.
And let’s not pretend it’s precluded by complexity or age of the game. Warframe, which debuted two years prior to GoW and whose systems are leagues more extensive and intricate, migrated to full cross-play and cross-progression between PC, mobile, PSN, Xbox, and Nintendo.
Maybe the dev team just aren’t interested in navigating these obstacles regardless of how much it would improve the quality of your players’ experience. Or maybe they’re just not clever enough to figure out what the devs of Killer Klowns from Outer Space managed to pull off.
Either way, blaming “platform limitations” hasn’t held water since like 2018.
Boom! Mic drop right here.
I agree, 6-7 years ago, that may have been the case, but times have changed and Sony’s internal politics have changed as well, and they have abandoned having a closed platform, and crossplay is now quite common on PlayStation, having crossplay in GoW would be the best thing that developers could do for players, as part of QOL.
Well aware of that, the topic of conversation was gems of war becoming crossplay.
Cool, just making sure it was clear for anyone reading your comment without the full context of the discussion!
What limits GoW from being cross-platform when PQ3 is?
Shop offers, some platforms are way more restrictive in regards to what they allow to be sold. Premium currency seem to be one of the offenders, I think anything bundled on Switch needs to contain keys instead. Not sure what else has to be handled platform specific.
