Havent read all the comments and suggestions so if someone has already suggested this my apologies.
My suggestion is to expand on the already existing VP bonuses in “PvP” to encourage people to actually match and play the puzzle aspect of the game rather than just bashing the bajeezuz out of the spell button. At the minute the rewards for extra turns etc dont warrant taking the time to actually match gems and examine the board so bigger bonuses would encourage more puzzle play and less button bashing.
¿a Also other remarkable in game achievements could be rewards like killing opponents with skull matches getting a certain amount of gem matches, one shot kills etc perfect rounds where your undamaged, first turn wins second turn wins ect. with fitting worth while VP reward. I think this would improve QoL and lesson the drudgery of PvP grind. Oh and also worth while VP rewards for defensive victories be nice…

All that really needs to be done is set VP for left middle right. Something like 30/60/90. Punishing people for actually playing the game by giving abysmal low vp per battle is a morale killer
Ally troops that take no damage during the battle = 15 each
Ally troops with full mana at the end of battle = 5 each
Not having multiple troops the same on your team = 10
Getting more turns than your enemy = 1 per turn difference (up to 15)
All ally troops use their spells at least once = 10
All 4 allies deal damage at least once during a single turn = 10 per turn it happens
Enemy troops that don’t cast their spell = 5 each
Getting a match of each colour = 10
Chaining 2+ colours together (using hero gems like wildcards or stars that can trigger multiple colours) = 5 per time (up to 25) [Not sure how plausible this is to implement, just throwing it out]
Damaging a troop with bonus damage (godslayer vs boss, siegebreaker vs tower, troops that target colours or type vs that colour or type) = 10 per damage dealt
Damage boosted by targeting a status effect (like a trait that deals double skull damage to burning enemies being used and triggering) = 10 per damage dealt
Each turn the enemy takes where they make a match but gain no mana (so forcing them to “waste” a turn, usually by leaving no match on the board that benefits them) = 10 per turn “wasted”
Dunno whether players would like any or all of these, but could be something to ask the community about in a future feedback questionaire? I’d love to see more bonuses for playing with skill, rather than just “bashing the bajeezuz out of the spell button”, too. If we can agree that some of these things (or other stuff people suggest) are worthy of bonus points, it’d be great for them to get added.
It’s added to my little immense QOL list, as something to look into further to pass along.
Think there needs be a balance for sure that covers various gameplay styles, but also the bonus list should probably not be super long. So, a middle ground somewhere in there.
Currently, it’s a small list so an additional couple could be added?
