Upcoming Changes

I’ve never had any problems with Death Mark in terms of wins and losses. But I’m never in favor of the player losing agency, especially not to pure RNG. If I wanted that, I’d go to a casino.

Scotsman: “Deathmark is 7 feet tall”

Deathmark: “Yes, I’ve heard. Kills men by the hundreds, and if he were here he’d consume the English with fireballs from his eyes and bolts of lightning from his arse. I AM Deathmark!..Freeeedom!”

The English: "•We have taken on board the community feedback regarding Death Mark and will be changing it accordingly. There will now be a one turn wait implimented to give players a chance to counter it. This fix will be live with the next update.

Deathmark: :expressionless:

As a Scotsman I approve of this.

As we are. sort of, in much lighter spirits now… Getting back at the topic: @Saltypatra i don’t wanto to be a bother, but as we are still waiting for the Design a Troop project to be revived at some point, and since the dev’s team is about to change the Guild Guardians, would it be possible to ask them if we could participate on it in a certain way?

I was thinking about the team opening a poll with some options of changes to be made to each Guardian based on the general ideas the team came up.

For example:

===Honor Poll===

Spell: Change spell to:

Create 15 gems … and do X → 12 votes
Create 15 gems … and do Y → 08 votes

Trait: Change Last trait to:

Z effect → 10 votes
W effect → 10 votes

Could you ask them about it?

This is my last post on the subject.

DK’s third trait isn’t the problem, it just exposed the issue on a wide scale.

Death is still a problem (Death is arguably worse since he can DM all more than once whereas DK is done after dying) with DM to all but because he’s a base mythic not everybody has him. If he were more readily available, people would be upset about it just like they are with DK.

And that ultimately the reason why DK APPEARS to be the problem - literally everybody in the game can get him and his trait stones were also available the same week.

But is Death really a problem, nowadays? I can’t remember last time I lost against a Death based team. Now we have so many mana drainers as well in differently colors that alone open up loads of counters.

I promised that was my last post but you deserve a response.

It isn’t about wins and losses. It’s about fun. Seeing the same teams over and over isn’t fun. And if everybody in the game had Death he’d be just as much a problem as DK.

This is not true, How many mana drainers do we have in this game. Nyx was the latest one. I used him today in the GW, quite a good troop he was, drained an enemy Death and filled up my Pharos with blue gems in the same turn, saved my ass.

I’m still curious how tall @Vangor is. Taller than the Norwegian Dino lover? Shorter than current NBA player Manu Ginobili? We must know!

Maybe make it so that dathmark doesn’t activate if sacrificed, and only if killed by the opposing team?

Not sure if they have the mechanics in place to make that happen, but that would stop all the “exploits” without having to change the effects of deathmark.

Here I am posting again.

You’re completely missing the point.

It’s not about in-match mechanics. It’s not about troops dying. It’s not about wins and losses.

It’s about the fact that defense in this game is so futile that the only alternative is to resort to RNG. So everybody and their dog runs teams with the latest OP RNG troop. And that makes PVP extremely repetitive and extremely boring.

The reason why Death isn’t a problem is because the entire player base doesn’t have him. If they did, he’d be everywhere, just like Famine and Deathknight.

I should check your math… but… You’re trustworthy? Right!?

How often when you play against Death do he get fired off his spell before the game is over?

@efh313 no math involved… Only googlefu
Thanks @Ivar
