UI broken after viewing Google Play achievement list

What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened:*

I expected the game UI to remain intact when closing the Google Play achievements overlay in game.

How often does this happen? When did it begin happening?

Repeatable by closing the Google Play achievement window quickly after opening it, before it loads completely, or by getting it to close in a way other than hitting the back button, when on a page other than the main screen.

Steps to make it happen again

  • Load the game and unlock an achievement listed in Google Play
  • Tap the alert button with the unlocked achievement to see more information
  • When the overlay comes up, minimize or turn the screen abruptly
  • Background behind the overlay becomes solid black and if you are on one of the activity pages (such as the PVP matchup page), the UI appears broken until re-loading the game.

When you say

Do you mean minimize Gems of War? Which achievement did this happen for?

If your game is still set like this please try reinstalling if your account is linked:

Instructions are different depending on your Android device.

Reinstall on Android
  1. From the home screen, open the Settings application
  2. Tap Apps & notifications .
  3. Tap the app you want to uninstall. If you don’t see it, first tap See all apps or App info .
  4. Tap Uninstall .
  5. Open the Google Play store, select tap the menu Menu and then and then My apps & games and then Library .
  6. Select Gems of War and tap Install.
  7. Tap Install or Enable .
