I think a lot of people were voting for the Supreme Court seats last night as much or more than they were for President…I know I was. There are so many checks and balances that guide or limit the actual power of the President, but those 3-4 seats that will need to be filled have actual power in shaping the American landscape.

I served this country for over 20 years. What did our politicians do for us vets? They cleaned up the VA. How did they do that ? By shuffling all the upper crooks in the veterans administration into difrent jobs. Not by getting rid of the TRASH. Hilary was the same old same old.
Politicians say what (whoever there talking at ) what they want to hear. Not what they are actually thinking or believe.

There is somthing wrong when i cant get VA care. But let a Syrian refuge need medical care. Our government would be in an uproar to help them. 20 fucking years in the us marines and i cant get to see a va doctor. Tell me our politicians are for America and Americans. I will call you a fool.

They have things called facts man. Either way thank you for your service. Soldiers almost always vote overwhelmingly Republican, no surprise there.

@DEMONorANGEL, you know that I have a lot of respect for you personally, and I am sorry for the trouble you and other vts have with the VA, as the treatment our service men and women have received is disgraceful. However, I do not believe that Donald Trump is the answer to these problems.
I am not particularly fond of Hillary Clinton. But to give that egotistical blowhard the highest office in the land makes me weep for my country. I admit to being afraid of what a Trump presidency will mean for all of us.
I thank you for your service, just as I thank my father, brother, nephews and nieces for theirs. I hope you have made a good recovery from your recent health issues.

The issue isn’t that our government wants to help refugees, that’s a good thing and our desire and ability to help others who are less fortunate is one of the greatest things about our country; but our government should be doing both and they’re not.
The fact that it’s even an issue of “either or” is what’s messed up. Why are we even having to rationalize taking care of our soldiers? Soldiers deserve the best care we can give but that doesn’t have to come at the price of helping others. Our government could very easily do both without any issue if it was important to them. The fact that it’s not is not only sad and a true disgrace.
Well the problem is there’s only so much money on the table for “helping hands.” Now I agree soldiers should be taken care of first and foremost. No doubt about it but when you have so many people that need help, the waters get a little muddy.
I agree but part of the problem is why there is “only so much money” when the reality is, there’s plenty of money in the US budget to help those in need, starting with our soldiers but definitely not ending there. If the average American really took a hard look at the US budget, they’d be pretty shocked I’m guessing. So much money spent, so little gained.

I’ve found something I considered interesting and thought I’ll share it here. It’s written by a guy explaining why there was no way of winning against Trump, apart from using Bernie Sanders either as a main candidate or even Clinton’s VP. But what I found even more interesting, is the fact that there’s a “post” from the same guy, from MARCH, explaining why Trump is going to win the Presidential elections (it was written back when he was still going against 5 or 6 other republican candidates for the nomination).
Now, people might hate Trump, merely “accept” him, or (in some cases probably) love him. Try putting those feelings aside for 3 min, read the article and spend another 3 min giving some thought to the possibility that Trump is not an idiot, but a master tactician, employing Sun Tzu’s art of war to current politics 
personally I find the notion intriguing (and quite frankly, it’d probably be better if he was that, rather than an idiot).

Yeah the thing is we spend more money putting soldiers in war, than helping them when they get out. America is a heavy militaristic country, and that’s never going to change.
It wasn’t always so, so you never know. I’m not really going to wade into those waters right now though as there’s enough drama with just the election that any more and the boards might erupt in memes and then out comes the ban hammer and then we have to write more eulogies.
Don’t worry about that. I’m the only meme poster left in this great hall.
Seriously though have you seen the 2 new ships America built? The rounds are $800,000 a piece. pfft what?

Trump should never be president, nor hillery. That we had to choose should tell everyone alot.
No matter who won look at the opposition. First thing both sides said is. Forget the other side lets block them and get nothing done. Something wrong there!
We the PEOPLE should cpme together for each other. Kick out all tye nonesence and idiots. We can have diffrent views on the same subject, but once we head in a direction we should come together united. Even if we dont agree.
We are America. I have been around tye world . See many cultures. They hate us.
The no1 reaon is they see our country not policing ourselves, but we have the right to tell them how to live.
I make sure my family is fed and takin care of FIRST ! Then what i have left if anyi can think about helping others.
Sure lets help refugees and people around the world.

Yeah you really showed them, well done.
Anyways the American People stood before an almost impossible choice, so i am not judging, what is obvious though is that most people voted for Trump for all the wrong reasons, and it will show clearly in the years to come.
What you might feel are wrong reasons, might be good reasons to others. Lets try to understand each other instead of bashing each other because our opinions differ.
We need to listen to each side, understand the facts behind our decisions and make America great again! For too many years, our country has not listened to the people. Hillary was not right for our country, she would have set our country off on the wrong path for 30+ years. Our country as we know it would have been transformed had she elected some liberal Supreme Court Justice and started legislating away our rights.
I know they cant remove our 2nd amendment without 75% of the states agreeing, but they can make it impossible to own a gun by creating laws that block your ability to buy/obtain it. This would block our 2nd amendment indirectly and the people know it.

trump will do just fine. in fact the world is already a safer place with Russia offering an olive branch to trump and offering cooperation with dealing with international terrorists. just a few weeks ago I saw headlines of war with Russia possible.
