Thoughts on the upcoming Mimic Gem?

Looking through the heroic gem guide, we’re still waiting to see candy gems, which will probably be added with the candy dragons. But the recent update added another upcoming gem to the list: Mimic Gems.
The description is this: Mimic Gems may not be matched. When exploded or destroyed, will do one of the following, full mana to random Ally, gain 50 gold, bless a random Ally, devour a random enemy (10% chance).

I’m confused about the “devour a random enemy (10% chance)” because it sounds like either there’s a 10% chance for that to occur (assuming that would leave 30% for each of the other three, but maybe not), OR that if it trigger the devour effect, it only has a 10% chance to work, which would be bad if you’re the one triggering it, because 90% of the time it would do nothing, I guess.
I also don’t know who is the one doing the devouring. The first Ally? A random Ally? The Mimic Gem? Probably the first Ally, but it’s unclear.

But other than the iffy description, it seems like it’s not that great. Probably something you’ll want to destroy fast so the enemy can’t trigger it, but not something you’ll care much about most of the time.
What do you think, though? Good new gem or a bad one?

It’s just that when you explode/destroy a Mimic Gem, of all the options listed, the chance to devour is 10% and yeah, I believe the other options are an even split of the rest.

Also, apparently it’s the animation of a devour but the attack itself is insta-kill - because no stats are being applied to anyone, like a devour would do. So, there is a chance the text might get updated.

Pls also remember the Instakill Vs Reflect issue, in case this gem is programmed under the hood to have a Source troop for the Instakill damage.

is it like wish gems where multiples can be exploded/destroyed at once but it only applies the effect once or are each mimic gem checked separately?

The AI is going to benefit the most from Mimic gems because they are more likely to get the 10% chance to instantly kill one your troops. I dislike the randomness of gems like this because this brings back bad memories of when we had Wish gems.

I believe this might rather be due to the game getting confused about which troop triggered the devour effect, so it doesn’t credit the stats properly.
