yeah, my multiplier is 2.2 and against a single troop I get 20 xp, against 4 I get 79, and 5 I get 99. I haven’t had any marathon matches yet.

Don’t know if I hit the cap tho because my next match leveled me up again. Maybe it’s not possible to gain 2 levels from 1 fight.

The thing is, even when the traits are fixed to work according to their actual descriptions, why are the Devs doubling down on a trait type that is mostly hated in the community, and rage inducing to say the least?

The current defend meta already is dangerously disliked, arguably in one of the worst states considering everything is actually working as intended and the dislike not coming from unintended troop behaviours.
I don’t see focusing on rage inducing devour or ghost trait mechanics doing any good for it in this state.

I’m pretty sure ghost trait is a bug, and not intended. If there weren’t no ghost bug kerberos third trait would be sub par which it will be once it’s fixed. Troop it summons is just a punching bag that takes you to do more damage to win, but doesn’t really endangere your match. Unless it’s working with ghost trait. Then it becomes boss mode :smiley:

I would like Kerberus’s third trait to be something that allows him to hit the first three troops with skull damage (Hydra would probably hit all four) >>>>IF<<<< it wasn’t for the increasing number of skull spammers…

Kerberus’s spell could instead of devouring summon a Warg and his third trait could increase all status when any Warg dies. Wargs instead of ressurrecting could grant some bonus for the “pack” on death, maybe some mana to help Kerberus cast again for a new warg. Maybe this would be a fun new mechanic for the “underworld pack” that wouldn’t bring too much headache in PVP while facing it, except for the “On death traits and Stun bug”.
But well, just a quick idea.

By ghost trait i just meant chance resurrect/summon traits of any kind and regardless of whether it endangers your match or not it is annoying everytime it procs or doesn’t depending on which side you are on.
People lost their shit over Infernal Kings trait and later Dragon souls and if other summon-trait troops weren’t mostly shunned they had their threads to show aswell.

And as you said yourself, if Kerberos trait will be subpar once fixed, its only effect will be to annoy people, so why not get rid of it and replace it with something more useful or fun, or simply just less annoying.

It’s completely useless on offense as it is, and only causes trouble on defense.

Guess maybe keep the Old third trait style was a better idea. 100℅ too summon if one “enemies” unit die.
Anyway kerberos is still cool as “cookie monster dog” now but still wondering why they didn’t change first trait. Not usefull at all if you use only maurgrim wood unit…
Guess this is the life…

I really like Wayfinder, but I don’t understand why they make an ultra-rare that is better than an existing Epic, in this case Dark Song. Unless I really need Magic Link or green/purple over green/red, I doubt I’ll ever use Dark Song again. Hmm…

Definitely ghost troops and/or overwriting at work here. I don’t even know where to put this since we have about a dozen threads now.

Observe the mana pool of the third Warg. Added bonus I don’t usually see, its got trait markers also.

Dark Song will be getting a rework in the future. No ETA on when though.

I hope this is apart of a bigger rework, like ay a kingdom event rework? :smiley:

The rate we are going, every kingdom will need to be reworked every six months as powercreep leaves them crappy again.

Or… we could draw a line now and make sure every new troop is balanced and comparable to existing ones (as much as possible)… pleeeese?

I think there’s 2 things going on here:

  1. There’s some power creep (very hard to avoid in a game with constant content updates)
  2. There has been a process of “finding the line” or figuring out what level of power provides the most satisfying experience for everybody.

I think we’re gradually honing in on #2 (took us a while, I know), so hopefully we can start to see power creep reduced in future.

#2 is hard to nail. The player base likes to break the game. I love the reworks and hope that more are coming in the future for older troops.

@RiverSong — my melody pond… why must you hurt me such… 2 kerberos, a warg, and a giant spider… its weird when spider swarms make wargs. :frowning:

Wasn’t created with you in mind, @kzintiwife. Just got tired of my defense record being 0/50. Now at least it’s 10/40.

:slight_smile: i wish i scouted - the worst part - it ate my mab after the first attack. so i had to kill the things with a maw, a valk, and a famine… spider swarms making wargs though! (from the first spot where kerberos was)

How come it’s still not fixed? If you don’t know how to fix this ridiculous update just wipe it. A week without weekly event is still better than this.
